Possible that they are trying to sync up next gen versions of Madden rather try and port over a U version from 360 and PS3 again.
^True. That would make sense, and wait for the higher install base.
As with the Vita, the tide seems to be turnign on the Wii U in terms of people considering a purchase. I was thinking today, that if Nintendo got their shit together they could be hitting their stride with first party blockbusters just as the PS4 and Nextbox hit their own game droughts (around Q1-Q2 2014). If they combined that with a slight price drop it would be a barnburner.
Fixed that for you. Now I expect a written apology.
Still going through these:
Character switching is done by pressing down on d-pad, the characters will do their own thing when you are not them so when you jump in they may be near a side quest or activity you havent done yet.
Character progression like TES, use skills and they enhance. Each character has specialty skills. Each has one special move, like bullet time from MP3.
Shooting is basically from MP3.
Major heists have you assembling a crew but the more people you have the more of the cut gets split so you have to decide what you want to do.
Game world is 5 times bigger than RDR. All open from the start.
It's going to be brilliant. It sounds like they have learnt everything they could from the Lost and Damned/ Gay Tony experiment + RDR.
GTA 4 would have been game fo the generation if they had shortened Nico down to a third and added the other two gaidens as part fo the main game. The best parts of the side stories was when all three worlds intersected. CANNOT WAIT.
But when did GTA ever compete graphically? Its always been a game that looks GOOD for the size of the game world, but not on the level of the top visual titles at the time...all the way back to GTA 3 its been like this. But who cares, they still look great & only a moron would care about it having OMG TEH BEZT GRPAHICS!!!11! Anyway.
Crystal Dynamics revealing a next-gen title? If I remember right, there was a rumor about a Legacy of Kain reboot and fuck me do I hope its true. Would love to see a new Kain, as long as they don't try to do a Resident Evil 6 or some shit & have vampires with uzi's or something.
The retail price is dropping in huge chunks in the UK. It's like the price of the Wii 1 now for the basic U set.
Screw GTA, you guys should be playing this.
I'm 46 hours in and free running in Chinatown.
I also discovered a character based on SteelAttack:
I also discovered a Big Trouble in Little China character, More in the Miiverse pic thread.
Oh man...I'm going to have to take a vacation for this one for sure!
Correct sir

Quote:This is best exemplified by the incredible attention to detail when you go underwater. When Trevor threw on some SCUBA gear and hopped off the side of a boat, I was expecting the usual sparse underwater trench with a few floating bits of seaweed not circling sharks, deep underwater ridges, schools of fish, a barnacle-encrusted wreck and shafts of sunlight shimmering through the water. Its properly explorable down there, assuming you arent crippled by a paralysing fear of sharks. You can literally dive for sunken treasure. This marks a huge step forward for Rockstars worlds.

Quote:Remember the modest car customization found in San Andreas? Well, apparently that feature is coming back with a vengeance in GTAV. Rockstar promises that Pay-n-Spray shops will not simply be used for a quick change of paint in order to evade the cops. Of course, you can still do that if you want--and even swap out license plates if you're so inclined. But these shops will also be used for customizing your car to high heaven, including performance upgrades as well as cosmetic options such as new spoilers, grilles, and window tints that will let you live out your inner Vin Diesel (or Paul Walker, if you're the boring type).
Edge
Quote:He dives off the side and the Blaine County sun does its best to follow him down, its rays refracted by the waters surface. Rounding the bow of a sunken ship we swim right into the path of a couple of sharks dangerous enough to warrant their own icons on the radar, but tamed for the purposes of our demo. The sea is as alive as the land, then, and just as well. GTA Vs landmass is three-and-a-half times the size of Red Dead Redemptions; include the sea and the world is five times as big and this time, the whole thing is fully explorable from the word go.

Quote:In the demo we were shown a relatively straightforward heist where Michael plans a robbery with Franklin and Trevor. Their plan involved stealing from an armored car by blocking its usual route with a dump truck, planting explosives and blowing the back doors off before stealing off into the night in a getaway car parked nearby. All told, it was pretty typical for a GTA mission, with the notable difference of being able to see the action from three different perspectives. At times the game would force us to see things from a certain character's point of view, whereas other times would give players the freedom to select whoever they want to play as. So, for example, if you're being assaulted by cops on at the ground floor of an office building, you could switch to a sniper planted across the way to give your buddies some cover.
More Customization
Players will be able to add tattoos and change the hairstyles of their characters. Weapons can be customized with different attachments. Vehicles can be improved for better handling and overall performance.
Improvements to the Combat
The feel of targeting, firing and entering cover has been completely reworked and should feel closer to that of Max Payne 3.
Citizens on Patrol
If pedestrians see you commit a crime, they'll whip out a cell phone and call the cops or take pictures with their camera phone.
Other Activities
In addition to yoga, sky diving and scuba diving, players will also be able participate in the following activities, according to reps: golf, tennis triathlons, bike races, picking up hitchhikers, base jumping and ATM robberies.
GG I picked up City Undercover yesterday....couldn't resist.
I only played up to the part where you get the map on the gamepad, but it seems awesome so far. Very humorous. I jacked some dudes 18 wheeler on accident...haha.
Thinking the same. oops, it;s 230 am here, better go to bed.
The gunplay still takes place in third person, but Rockstar migrated part of the Max Payne 3 team over to the GTA team to tweak the camera perspective. The new over-the-shoulder aim view gives you a clearer field of vision during combat, which makes it easier to spot enemies at the periphery and while you're behind cover.
Not every gamer prefers the same aiming system, so Rockstar has included three different options in GTA V: a hard snap-to targeting, a soft targeting, and free aim. The impressive death animations created by Euphoria normally make it easy to tell when a body is about to hit the floor, but the tweaked reticle confirms your kill by turning into an X. When you hover the reticle over an enemy, it also turns red to indicate the threat.
When you pull the trigger, expect to have a more visceral connection to the outcome. Some types of cover are destructible, so you can chip away at hiding spots to expose enemies. Rockstar says the gunshot damage is now totally dynamic and specific to particular weapons as well.
SO GOOD.
Awesome.
I love how they can do stuff like jumping straight from vehicle to vehicle in mid-motion with one button press - because it's not a realistic game. Later on you can jump straight from helicopter to a car or boat immeditately.

That's EXACTLY how I jacked the guys truck...I was like WTF just happened? LOL
I was fiddling around with the buttons to see what they do, then suddenly I'm in a different vehicle!
That sounds killer.
OMG AMAZING
The AI is also much more responsive to your actions. In this instance, Michael walks past two celebrity lookalikes. The first is a stand-in for one of the Republican Space Rangers (which returns with new episodes in GTA V). The other is dressed as Impotent Rage, a new liberal superhero with a hit TV show. When Michael pulls out his smartphone to take a picture of the Space Ranger, the actor strikes a pose for him. Whenever you take a picture in Los Santos, you can share it with friends via the Rockstar Social Club. Nearby, another man is offering a tour of celebrity homes. If you jump on board, he will tell you the sleazy backstories of the stars featured on the tour.
Not much of an apology. I expect begging, pleading for your life and kissing ass! Now get to it!
