PS: I know no one wants to hear about any MORE games this season --BUT-- if you like online multiplayer games in the least, you really should give BattleField a try!
It's kind of hard to describe just why it's so pulse-pounding, but I'll try.
The maps are HUGE. This is to allow the use of multiple vehicles such as Helicopters, Tanks, Armored Patrol Carriers, Jeeps, Jets and Anti-Aircraft Guns. With all of these vehicles and the gunfire and explosions going on all around you... it REALLY feels like you are in the middle of a Battlefield!
You are as deadly as a typical soldier in any FPS game on foot (and you have the typical Engineer, Medic, Sniper and Support classes)... but then you jump in a Jet... or in a Helicopter... and take to the air! Wow! Exhilarating!
You level up your Character. Their Weapons. Skills and Vehicles. You get Boosts and Awards...
...Best of all, you seem to get a slightly higher intelligence breed of opponents than the typical CoD player in there too!
It's REALLY awesome!
I just finished Heavy fuckin Rain!!
Wow, not the longest game in the world....I started it last night and just finished it now. Really cool story, setting, characters...etc. But gameplay and controls-wise it could have been a hell of alot better. I'd give it around a 7.5 rating.
I don't know what's with me. I have Batman. I have Dark Souls. I have Battlefield. I have Disgaea 4. I have Gears of War 3...
...and the game I keep obsessively going back to is Dragon Quest Monsters 2!
There's just something about being able to Breed and Battle with ALLLLLLLLLL the monsters I've grown to LOVE over the last 20 years that just "does it" for me...
