It might work, did you see the story yesterday about how Sony has the augmented reality without markers? Also in the 3DS augmented reality games they warp your real world objects in real time, so they can do things like windows cracking open and stuff. Also with the 3DS and its gyros you change viewpoint and aim using the gyros whilst looking at the 3D screen.
Once I read an alleged Miyamoto quote where he said that he envisioned the future of gaming as being without the constraints of a TV screen. Something that would fill the whole room you were playing in. I guess that's the direction Nintendo is heading towards.
Eh, I hope that it's a side thing and not the main event.
But I thought you would love something like this!
Depends if he's talking about turning your room into the holodeck.
Dunno, really. I still believe we are years before getting that kind of tech to be applied in a convincing way in everybody's living rooms.
The hell is this?
what the fuck.
Holographic 3D is being worked on at the moment but it would be like a projector projecting a 3D image into the middle of your room to give you the 3DTV effect without the stereoscopic eye strain trickery. Every video I have seen of it though was very basic.
Sonic Generations video walkthroughs
Everytime I hear the word "holographic" I think of that Sega arcade game, Time Traveler. It's ingrained in my mind even though it had nothing to do with holograms.
I remember playing a VR arcade game back in the 90s. You sat in this pod and a headset the size of a toilet seat was eased onto your head like the weight of a crushing rock.
You played this robot tank game with graphics about as good as SNES Starfox.
It was awesome...... at the time.
So 3DS Snake Eater will be at E3.
I never played it as I didn't have a PS2. What should I expect? What are the changes between 2 and 3? Do I need to have completed 2 to fully understand 3?
If you already played it, what would make you pick up this version?
What would you like to see added or changed?
You don't really need to have played MGS2 to get the third. It does a very good job of presenting a self-contained story within a bigger (and more convoluted) overarching plot. It's the closest thing to a perfect game H. Kojima ever made. Works perfectly like a good spy movie, barring the unfortunate supernatural shit that so many devs are fond of.
If I had to get it for the hypothetical 3DS that I won't get, it would have to have the reworked camera that the Subsistence (or whatever it was called) version had.
WHAT A THRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLL....
What is the camera like in the original version and what is it like in the Subsistance version?
Trailer for Gameloft GTA like game on iPhone, iPad and Android phones.
The original camera is like the one in the first MGS. Fixed with changing angles depending on the scene. The one in the superior version is an over the shoulder one, more like the one found in MGS4.
How does it compare to Splinter cell?
I wouldn't know. Only played like 3 minutes of Chaos Theory.
