The last 4 screens have the text set to a larger size, that's why they may seem different. Also, for those with a Mac, it's a little cheaper on the Mac App Store than it is through the official website. An iPad version should be coming soon for those interested.

"Plants vs. Zombies -- until Thursday at 1PM ET, the game's marked down to $3.40 on Steam."
DS version comes out in the UK this week also. Of note, the DS version lets you play two player with a single cartridge.
I checked out Avadon's website. I'm so happy when I see a micro-developer like that making it. They have a tonne of games, and probably a very loyal fan base.
Yeah when they started their graphics weren't far behind the retail competition (at least, in stills). That should tell you enough, lol. In all seriousness, they've been going for 17 years.

REDMOND, Wash., May 4, 2011 - Nintendo is dropping the suggested retail price of its Wii™ system to $149.99 and including a Mario™ game with the Wii hardware. Starting May 15, the newly priced Wii system will come in either black or white with the Mario Kart™ Wii game and a matching colored Wii Wheel™ accessory, replacing the previously included Wii Sports™ and Wii Sports Resort™ games.
Also on May 15, Nintendo launches the new Nintendo® Selects collection of Wii games, a set of popular games that millions of people have already experienced, at a suggested retail price of $19.99. The four must-own games in this collection are The Legend of Zelda™: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing™: City Folk, Mario™ Super Sluggers and Wii Sports, which is available for the first time as a separate software purchase. Parents and video game fans can now easily expand their library of fun, family-friendly Wii games.
Yeah I think it's super lame they didn't keep at least Wii Sports in there. Or a demo disc. This basically isn't a discount at all since it now only includes one game, not two. It's the same price, you'll have to buy Wii Sports Resort separately for a bundle equivalent to the previous out of the box things, or just Sports for cheap instead... I can't see this having any significant effect in sales, but we'll see...

It's not down to that $99 USD mark that usually brings people out of god-knows-where to finally getting around to joining a console generation, but it's close.
When the PS1 and PS2 got down to $129 and then $99 they were flying off the shelves and I always wondered "who are these people that STILL haven't got a 'insert console name here'?".
I can see maybe a single console loyalist, like someone who only has a 360 or PS3 maybe saying, "Well at that price I'll pick it up, and also snag all the known good games used".
No Japan price drop announced yet. Maybe they are waiting to get a better idea as to when Dragon Quest 10 will be ready before they make that decision.
Why, why do my family have to be such monumental pain in the asses? I wish they would just leave me in peace. What a shitty couple of days its been.
Fucking idiot workman has disappeared with the keys to the back door and now the cat wants to go out for a shit and I can't let him out unless I want to drop him 10 ft from a window.
Yeah I heard that a while back, Eurocom are very happy with the sales which are in line with Wii sales of the COD games. Funny that when Red Steel 2 and Conduit bomb we hear about it non-stop but when another FPS sells over a million there's barely a whimper.
Oh and the cat just took a shit behind the TV.
Fucking workman.

Nintendo not talking much about 3D classics, would like to see arcade games hit the service
A portion of a Nintendo Power interview with Hideki Konno...
NP: What games would you like to see come out first for the 3D classics?
HK: We haven't really talked too much about the lineup or any of the details of the 3D classics. That being said, the 3D classics - what it does is the program is designed to take these old classic, favorite games and reinvent them using 3D technology and then distribute and display them in 3D, of course. In my own personal opinion, I would like to see some arcade games make their way into the 3D classic lineup. At least year's E3 I believe we showed Xevious, and that was one of the arcade games we had seen remade into and show on the 3DS in 3D. I think that was a really neat play experience, and one I'd like to see.
Nintendo has 'tons of ideas' for 3DS AR games, third parties showing interest as well
A portion of a Nintendo Power interview with Hideki Konno...
NP: Speaking of AR, what do you think lies in the future of AR gaming? Does Nintendo have specific plans to follow up the built-in games?
HK: Well, it seems that AR technology is going to become even more widely known and popular. I think it's going to be something that people will want to play around with, whether that's on the developer side or consumer side. It's already generating a ton of ideas within the Nintendo development teams, and we'e been hearing ideas come from outside developers as well.
Nintendo's Konno to focus on Mario Kart 3D, hopes to introduce many new elements, may reveal details at E3
A portion of a Nintendo Power interview with Hideki Konno...
NP: How are things going with Mario Kart for 3DS?
HK: Now that Nintendogs + Cats is done, I've been able to spend more time and energy on Mario Kart development. We really want to bring a bunch of new elements into the game, and I'm really looking forward to the time that I can announce what those elements are. Perhaps we'll be able to talk in more detail at this year's E3 event.
THQ tidbits - big uDraw support, franchise returns this year, not talking Project Cafe details out of respect for Nintendo
The following information comes from THQ's investors' call...
- expecting significant growth in fiscal 2012 and 2013 based on three key initiatives: a steady flow of core game franchises, an expansion of its casual line-up, and increased digital revenues
- believes 2012 core games line-up to be the strongest in its history
- this lineup includes Saints Row, Red Faction, Warhammer 40,000, MX vs. ATV, UFC and WWE franchises
- casual content to focus on Kinect and uDraw
- 6 new uDraw titles will ship during the fiscal year
- "World of uDraw" showcase at E3
- big focus on digital content for core games
- digital add-ons will generate between 25 and 40 percent of a product's overall revenue
- THQ wouldn't comment on specs of Project Cafe, stating that they're "going to respect Nintendo's request to disclose the details about their system as they see fit."
Watch this from beginning to end for an AMAZING secret!
Looks like Nintendo power have a special 25th Sonic Anniversary thing next issue leading to speculation that another Wii Sonic is in development. Would make sense given how they do Secret rings and black knight and seperate games for 360/ps3.
Yeah that's one thing that always bothers me about the press when it comes to Nintendo.....its the same shit over and over. "Oh Nintendo fans don't want adult games....see this niche as fuck game didn't sell well, or this sequel to this horrible game didn't sell well". Its bullshit. People want major, AAA games....no matter what system it is. That's why Resident Evil, Call of Duty, and Goldeneye sold well, while shit like Madworld and Red Steel 2 didnt. Eevry game that bombed on Wii would have bombed anywhere else.....Madworld is niche because of its graphics and honestly I didn't think the gameplay was that great. Red Steel 2 looks odd and its a sequel to a crappy game. Dead Space Extraction....an on-rails side game to a series that's not on Wii. Conduit.....yeah.
I've seen every one of these called out as proof that Nintendo fans don't want adult games, while the games that do sell well are some sort of error.
Anyway, I hope that changes on their next machine. That attitude I mean.
Some German website posted these Wii 2 aka Wii Feel rumours about the controller having haptic feedback.
"According to our source the work for the new console has been going on for a few years, and throughout this whole time the goal has been to create an as direct and easy-to-understand concept as the Wii.
– You have to try Nintendo Feel to really understand. But the idea itself is very easy to sell, no matter if you are aiming for hardcore players or the wider audience that was first introduced to games through DS, Wii or Kinect.
And sure, anyone can suddenly realize the feeling of fur agains the fingertips would do for Nintendogs. You don't have to be unfamiliar to The Legend of Zelda to understand the epicness in drawing patterns in a desert, feeling the breeze from a lake, the burning sensation from lava or realizing the structure of a very old tree.
At the same time, Nintendo Feel is an experience that doesn't want to explain itself in words, but rather tell the player through his hands. Which is probably why Nintendo will bring playable demos to E3, even tho the finished console won't be available until 2012."
LOL
It's annoying when Zelda sells 4 million + and Mario Sells 5 million + and then 3rd parties don't think to themselves: yeah those are quality adventure and platform games, let's make some of those. Instead we get Michael Jackson the Experience. Also what happened with Capcom and RE was comical, they sell over a million of RE4 and the same of Umbrella Chronicles, everyone says they want an RE4 type game, they make another on rails game and it bombs and then everyone on the ask capcom boards fricking told them when the game was first announced that no one wanted it.
