The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems I talked way too soon. Even though the damage caused by the storm has been left behind, every single river in the vicinity has greatly increased because of rain in the mountain regions, causing flash floods in several parts of the city. Early accounts talk about 100,000 people affected, with enarly 50,000 people having lost everything because of flooding, as well as probably 10 people dead and more missing. Nearly 40% of the city lacks power and water, and even though water level is expected to slowly recede, things are still at a critical point.
Yikes, at least you have power and stuff.
WE WON!!!! DOLPHINS WIN!!!!!!!
2-0!! Both road games, wow.
Why is Master Chief shooting Urien?
Good god. That's bloody awful. Great to hear you're okay dude.
The flooding is what really screws things up even in a Hurricane that isnt a super powered one. Luckily I have never been affected by flooding after a hurricane. I hope you and your family are safe.
Stay safe!
That's horrible.![Sad](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-frown.gif)
Hope you and your family is okay. Stay safe, Steel.
I don't think Favre is done since this is only game 2, but it's not looking good for the Vikings.
I just found out about the game yesterday from GAF. I had no idea what it was. I thought it was that one Holy Invasion of Badman game, or a sequel.
But Caldun is a retro-style action-RPG. It's kind of like a modern RPG with a retro-makeover, which is so freakin' cool!
It suposed to have random generated dungeons so you can play for hours, like Diablo.
It's one of the most creative things NIS has done.
Don't know about REDC since it's a rail-shooter, but it probably hurt Cavia more than it hurt Capcom.
And about that glitch you posted earlier for Other M, that wasn't it. It's all over Youtube so you should check it out so you can try to avoid it, which is what I'm doing.
I don't want to start over. I want to make sure to copy extra save files just in case. It's supposed to happen randomly, which is so careless of Nintendo/Team Ninja to miss this.![Uneasy](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
GOG going bust. I didn't think it was a viable business to start with, but I figured since they had stuck around this long they'd last. Oh well.
Seems it was pretty viable and this is just due to publishers/investors which will likely force them to add some DRM or whatever. After all, since it was dealing old games not on shelves anymore, it was all extra money for all the involved parties. I doubt people re-downloaded their games from the service so much as to make it non-cost effective and if that was the case then they could limit the number of downloads from their servers per year per user without actually adding DRM to the downloaded file. Other motives seem to be at work here, especially the way it's worded. At least the games we bought we can still backup and use at our leisure since they were DRM-free, unlike if other services like Steam go down which will mean you lose access to your games as well, backup or no.
Might as well get it started.
What have you gents been playing this weekend?
Me:
*Excellent Game! I wish some of you had it here so we could play online!*
*This is the type of game Aspro will be playing in 12 years, but I am actually having some fun with it right now!*
*Tearing through Grotto after Grotto at this point, leveling up before entering the Realm of the Mighty!*
Batman looks cool! I love the artwork! Adam West agrees!![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
I'm also very interested in RUSE. Looks like a pretty cool console RTS.
SMG2 -- 58 stars. Liking the level design much more than the first and the first was amazing. I just cannot comprhend how anyone can come up with levels like these.
Chili Con Carnage (PSP) -- Enjoyable blam blam. They handle the camera (third person shooter), and they have done so very well. Still very funny, though getting a bit difficult.
Have not touched FF4 in 3 weeks. I'll get back to it, it's just that I know I'm up against back-to-back boss battles that you have to gt prfct and have not been able to summon the will to do it yet. Ahh Golbez...
As for playing DQ9 in 12 years, that's not far off. I'll probably finish the Final Fantasy series in about 2 more years, and then I was going to start the DQ series, so maybe around 7 years. Unless you are talking about Batman Bold, which I'll likely get to fairly soon from what I've heard of it.
I've been playing a lot of Halo lately. I haven't beaten Halo 3 yet so I'm playing through that while playing Reach in between.
I really want to check out Chili Con Carnage. Too bad there's no PSN version, so I'll have to find a copy at Gamestop or something.
it's kind of hard to find. It's certainly worth looking for. It's probably in my top 3 fave PSP games (non-RPG).
