It figures Nintendo would rather re-release their Mario games on a disk or cart instead of putting Super Mario All-Stars on Virtual Console.

It looks awful? There are horses galloping across a broken train track with a cat following them! There is a dog with a robe and some necklace thing leading a pack of puppies across a backdrop of a shark! Best game ever.

The funny thing about that story is this guy in comments down below wrote EXACTLY what I was thinking while reading the article:
"I get the feeling that since Mikami left they don't know what to do with Resident Evil. A shame as they are some of my favourite games. Why would you want to replace your best selling franchise with another that has only sold a million so far. Makes no sense. "
That's what I was thinking, to a T. Why on earth would you want what is really a middle of the road series in your catalog, to replace a legend like RE as your main franchise....UNLESS you are completely out of ideas and have to clue where to go from here without certain key members?
Inafune almost admits it:
"Inafune, though, is bullish. "As a creator, the sales and marketing part aside, unless you have a big goal to strive for you can't create a good game," he said."
Just yesterday Inafune said that they want to rush RE6 into the market, we should hear info on it soon. That sounds great, I love rushed games. I have a bad feeling that it will be a RE5 clone.
Which was a RE4 clone....oh with co-op. Hehe.
I really wish Mikami and a few of his best would go back to Capcom to work on RE. I have a feeling this series is going to need their intervention soon.
Truthfully, I've been really itching for an old-school Resident Evil 2 style game lately, with insane modern production values & cool new ideas like REmake had. Its been a long time...we could use a true RE adventure with Mikami's full effort behind it.

It seems Capcom’s Keiji Inafune has confirmed the existence of Devil May Cry 5, after saying in an interview the next game in the series will have a “western touch” to attract potential UK-US buyers.Speaking to Spanish website 3DJuegos (via CC), he said the company wanted more western sales for the series.“Devil May Cry 5 is a game that, when started development, this will change a lot in relation to the above,” said Inafune.“The reason is that, despite the franchise has some very loyal followers, their sales are not particularly high, especially overseas.”He went on: “For this reason, it is likely that in the fifth chapter will incorporate certain western touch to make it more attractive to American and European players.”
NOOO. I think someone handed him some book like "he idiot's guide to make games for western gamers and make money" and he is trying to follow it.
At least he is handling Mega Man well. Trailer looked cool, I hope its LBP Mega Man.
I thought Devil May Cry already WAS aimed at western audiences...what with the gothic metal overtones and all.
IMO Capcom has always been one of the Japanese companies who knew how to make games for the west. Yet only in this generation have they began to yap about it just because of how dominant the west is now.
I've been playing Dragon Age: Awakening lately. Awesome shit...I', liking it just as much as the main game so far, and I really dig how you're kind of the main guy now, making all the choices.
