That's not how DQ works. VIII for PS2 came 4 years after PS2's launch, and in the West after the next gen had started. DQIX for DS came 5 years after DS' launch. DQX was reconfirmed as a Wii title a couple months back.

And don't forget, DQVII came out on the PS1 after the PS2 had been out for over a year.

Got to say, it's rough. 60s comics sucked.

The only thing from that era that I think is still readable are the Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD books. They are still pretty good spy stories even to a modern audience.

When does this start being good? I guess I have another 400 issues to find out. I remember the clone wars storyline, vaguely. I think it will take me a year or something to get to that point.
