The scary thing is...all things considered, both name and cover are probably better (read: slightly less shitty) than the actual game!
This is true. It sold way beyond Platinum's expectations in the first 2 weeks. Then it was cancer due to the glitches. If interested listen to Warnign a Huge Podcast, Ep4. New form factor plus sales on the old stock (I bought another one).
Amazed that the DS is still selling strong despite the 3DS on the way.
Clearly the 360 had a huge boost cause of the redesgn and the clearance from all the old stock. Huge month for them. But it seems like sales are up across the board, what happened? Are parents buying consoles for their kids so they don't have to deal with them all summer. PS3 did great, Wii is right behind 360, neither console had any significant game release, last month when they did they did much more poorly. PSP got some life probably cause of MGS.
Amazing to see RDR hold on for another million sold. Mario Galaxy 2 did not move an inch, now over a million. The usual Wii games are there. UFC has legs. And some movie games showed up, yup it's summer. MGS not in the top 10, a major MGS game not selling... hey Konami do you want money? How the hell do you allow a big MGS release not break the top ten. PUT IN ON PSN!!!! Oh and I bet most PSP owners are playing it, but probably didn't pay for it.
Red Dead's got legs.

It did not upset/ surprise me too much. It's known that they ramp up staff for the big projects and ramp ups logically lead to lay-offs once the job is done.

Welp, NSMB Wii is done as well. 10 hours, coming from the superbly designed Galaxy to this game is like eating at a fine restaurant for lunch, and then having a microwave burrito for dinner.
Still love the penguin suit, though.
