I'm over UCC in games. I see videos and think "Cool!" yet never can be bothered to make my own, or even download other peoples. It's enough to play what the developers have already made.
There is no downloading in LBP, you have instant access to all 2 million + user levels.
That word, I don't think it means what you think it means.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWarioWare D.I.Y. (DS)
[Sound-Bite]
" In contrast to LittleBigPlanet's tangible, mechanical construction metaphor, D.I.Y. gives you a much more practical, more literal, grounding in development."
[Better Than] WarioWare Touched!
[As Good As] LittleBigPlanet
[Verdict]
9/10 - Takes the chore out of Do-It-Yourself.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey (DS)
[Better Than] Etrian Odyssey II
[Worse Than] Dragon Quest IX
[Verdict]
8/10 - Hardcore RPG Gaming at its finest.
Again (DS)
[Sound-Bite]
" Cing has always had a problem with balance, and Again is no exception. There's far too much talking and nowhere near enough gameplay."
[Better Than] Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles
[Worse Than] Unsolved Crimes
[Verdict]
4/10 - Ironically learns nothing from Cing's past.
2010 FIFA World Cup (360 version reviewed)
[Better Than] UEFA Euro 2008
[Worse Than] FIFA 10
[Verdict] 6/10 - It's FIFA, but with less game and more noise.
Cave Story (WiiWare)
[Better Than] Braid
[Worse Than] Castlevania - Symphony of the Night
[Verdict]
9/10 - Feels like a timeless classic. Because it is one.
Monster Hunter Tri - Online Review (Wii)
[Sound-Bite]
" With the right kit and the right company, there really can be no more rewarding a multiplayer experience than this."
[Verdict]
10/10 - The definitive co-op experience.
Other games TM scores
Red Dead Redemption - 9 (They say it's very very GTAIV indeed, the structure and writing being incredibly similar. The area is much bigger, beautiful, and there's lots of Cowboy stuff to do - rustling, hunting, gambling. It has a "stark beauty and compelling narrative" apparently.)
WarioWare DIY - 9
Espgaluda II - 9
Shin Megami Tensai: Strange Journey - 8
£D Dot Game Heroes - 8
Lost Planet 2 - 7 (They slam the single player. "There isn't actually really a single player mode," they say, stating that the AI is so bad you can barely play it alone. Multiplayer is much better apparently. Controls are apparently awful, and the whole thing is more Monster Hunter than Lost Planet 1.)
Split/Second - 8 (Incredibly balanced, frenzied, one of the most exhilarating racing games since Burnout 3: the "God Of War 3 of racers, exaggerated, over the top and furious, interweaving scripted moments with dynamic play.")
Again - 4
2010 FIFA World Cup - 6
Skate 3 - 8
Dead Or Alive Paradise - 3
Alan Wake - 8
Th Whsipereed World - 6
Cave Story Wii - 9
Patchwork Heroes - 7
Nier - 7
Dead To Rights Retribution - 4
Monster Hunter Tri - 10 (It's one of the best online games fullstop, let alone on the Wii. Co-op makes it far far better, as it feels designed for it; it shows the rest of the world how co-op should be done. They argue a lot that it should be played online, as that's the only way to get the full experience of the game.)
Personally I think modern games are turning out to be just as truly great games as any other time prior, if not more so.
Man, Split Second and Red Dead is definitely becoming more appealing everytime I read reviews. Like I said before, I never bought a racing game at full price but I think I may do that with Split Second. Loved Pure! This looks better!
And Red Dead looks like the greatest western game ever made! Finally, huh? We never actually had a really good game set in the west yet! I'm talking about like GOTY quality!
I may get that as well.
And too bad Alan Wake isn't the revolution we all thought it'd be. Still looks good though.
And Lost Planet 2 is going to go down as the most disappointed game of this gen, even more than Too Human or any other disappointed. Kind of sucks. It just further proves that Japanese developers need to stay away from western styled shooters. Capcom should stick to what they do best.

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
I totally agree! Super Street Fighter IV, Batman Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2, Gears of War 2, Super Mario Galaxy, etc. Need I say more?

Oh yeah, I'm not arguing with that, but I'm saying that in this gen there are a lot more games that are technically great, but not great overall. That doesn't mean that there are games that hit it right in both categories.
I thought the Wii passed the NES in sales a long time ago. Didn't the NES only sell around 40 million total?
NES was in the region of 64 million. The SNES pushed around 50M, N64 had 32M, GameCube 23M. GBA was somewhere between 75M-90M

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWe still agree. I'm saying that, yes this is the best generation yet in terms of the number and quality of great games.
I'm also saying that in this generation, due to the improvement of technical training of people in the games industry, off-the-shelf engines and better processors we have the new development of games that look great but are not great games (a game like Haze). In the past generations if a game looked great there was a higher chance of it being great (since it took a lot of skill to get a game to look good). These days anyone can make a good looking game. I am not saying that they predominate, I'm just noting that this is a new development.
I'll playing Split Second and getting a copy of LP2 this week, so I can confirm if they're both disappointing.
I know what it means and you know what I mean in this context. I mean you don't sit there and watch a bar slowly download a level where you then need to save it to your hard drive or something. Playing a user level is as seamless as playing a normal in disc level.
It's a new week! What have you cool kids been playing?
