That wasn't the default Saturn controller, though despite the shape that thing is still better than most current pads. But the default was this one, aside from top quality arcade sticks the best pad for 2D fighters or other classics yet.
http://www.gamesarefun.com/consoles/ps2/segasat.jpg
And the best d-pad ever. CAPCOM has copied a billion times with their various Street Fighter pads bundled with different games in different generations, though theirs are nowhere near as good as the original either.

The analogue pad didn't beat the N64, Nights first released in early July 96 in Japan, the N64 was released in late June in Japan, and both released later elsewhere in the world. Nights was first in the US and EU though.

Wrong! Atari beat both of them by about 14 years.

You're both wrong.  The Atari has a digital joystick, and SEGA wasn't the first to market.  The true first analogue stick was on the Vectrex.

The Atari 5200 uses a non-self-centering analog stick. Both the Vectrex and the 5200 came out the same year: 1982. It's difficult to tell which may have been released first since retro sites only state the year they came out. Wikipedia claims they both came out the same month: November.

Every source I've seen gives the Vectrex credit as the first, including Wikipedia.  But I'll take a draw.  The key point is, SEGA deserves nothing.

The TRS-80, which started selling in 1977 has an analog controller (I know because I still have them, and as a kid took them apart many times).  They started bundling joysticks with the system in 1979 (which would be how I got mine).

This appears to be an internet blindspot -- I cannot even find any photo's of it.

Found a picture of this nifty pen though.  These used to be THE bomb when I was a kid.

No DSiWare game transfers between DSi & XL

How do you think Aspro will respond to a manufacturer/publisher not allowing digitally distributed content from one system to another?  Two systems that are not even legacy yet?

Haze. Finished it.  Took 9 hours.  What a jumble of a game.  I'll end up giving it a 4.  the first 5 hours are like visiting the DMV for 5 hours.  A jumble of frustration combined with incompetence on levels bordering on comedic.  The second 4 hours are pretty fun and involving, but still include technical glitches (like freezing the system).  It was an interesting experience - and my tenth beaten game of the year.

I'm thinking of playing an equally anonymous game today, like Area-51 Blacksite or Dark Sector.

Further proof that Nintendo's online plan sucks!

Somebody at GS said how he wanted to buy a Wii again (don't know why he sold his first one) and asked if he can transfer all his old games to the new one. The answer was obviously painful since he can't.

Kids do that, don't they? They buy a Wii or any system (I saw one kid trading in a PS3 to Gamestop once, he was like 14) and they sell it either because they get bored of it or they have no money, they sell it. And then they buy it again later!

I would hate to be their parents!

I have it, came with Nights. It beat the N64 to the US market so technically it was the first analog stick controller, suck it Nintendo.

But nobody cared! Nyaa

Nintendo still gets the credit for the analog stick. I guess it's because of Super Mario 64.

Miyamoto is so awesome.

In the end, we are going to have more than 240 stars for you to obtain, and we think it’s going to be challenging for any and all gamers.

OMG!!! Now does he mean 240 different stars or 120 with Mario and 120 with Luigi. I assume its with Luigi as well, maybe Luigi has different missions or something.

Day one! I didn't get the first one until later, but I'm getting the 2nd one as soon as it comes out! Grinning

no, that was fixed for firmware version 4 and onward.  SDHC is now supported just fine.

you do get two different sets of channels so you know what's on your wii's flash memory and what is on your SD.

firmware 4 onward lets you run games off the SD.  you must take care though that you have enough blocks left on your wii's memory for whatever game you want to play because even though it's supposedly running the game off the SD card in actual fact it copies it to the wii memory and deletes it afterwards so you still need to have enough free memory for it.

There we go, that's the answer I was looking for. So it does temporary copy games on the SD card to the Wii channel whenever you play off of the SD menu.

I was wondering what that was.

If should work fine on Wii. I can't imagine why it wouldn't.

Insert your SD Card, and click there. It'll take you to your SD Card channels.

Thanks! Happy

But I have so many Wii channels that are empty. How do I manage them wisely? I'm guessing I should download the WiiWare and maybe N64 games on the SD card while the NES and SNES stuff goes on the Wii channel. So that way I won't have so many empty channels to make my screens look so ugly. Sad

Your wii drive only has 512mb and some save files cannot be moved or transferred to SD. Keep every WiiWare and VC game on SD card, the load times are really short, plus if something happens to your wii you dont have to re-download them. Put the channels you regularly use on the Wii memory.

Also, my Wii component cables is making the game look so smooth and clean. I'm amazed at how good and crisp the game looks on my HDTV!

All N64 emulation is done sharper and cleaner, they removed the way the N64 handled aliasing which blurred edges.

Yeah. I was surprised by the crisp graphics.

Makes me want to download some more N64 games. I love Starfox 64! It's like the Ocarina of time for Starfox games!

The TRS-80, which started selling in 1977 has an analog controller (I know because I still have them, and as a kid took them apart many times).  They started bundling joysticks with the system in 1979 (which would be how I got mine).

This appears to be an internet blindspot -- I cannot even find any photo's of it.

Though I guess we didn't explicitly say, we're talking about home consoles.  Perhaps a meagre difference but I consider the microcomputers like this and the Commodore as something separate.

No DSiWare game transfers between DSi & XL

How do you think Aspro will respond to a manufacturer/publisher not allowing digitally distributed content from one system to another?  Two systems that are not even legacy yet?
...

At least that Nintendo rep said they're looking into it. Maybe if enough people complain, Nintendo will be forced to offer it. It worked with SD Card support for VC/WiiWare games. Sure, it took a couple years, but the ridge is DEAD!

In my opinion, anyone under 17 really shouldn't be allowed to trade in anything with out their parents being there.

LOL I can see all of the "My kid poked his eye out with the Wii Stick!" lawsuits now.

And three years later, Sony will come out with the "PS3 Stick" which will have a soft pick ball on the end.
