I'm still going through the training modes, but it feels really good so far. It takes a LOT of force to do strong sword swings. This game definitely requires your full arm movement. It's not just wrist flicks anymore.
The graphics are absolutely amazing! This is how mature games should be done on Wii; nay, on EVERY console!
EDIT: Okay, after adjusting the sword swing sensitivity to relaxed, you can do strong attacks with just quick wrist flicks.
I find this speculation on gaf interesting
Sounds good. You know you can adjust the swing force? And I think someone recommended that you put auto targeting on manual- don't remember why though.
There you go. I think I might adjust my sensitivity up when I get it.
With all the wrist action you get on a daily basis, swingin' that sword shouldn't be annnny problem for you.
Sounds great, if its possible. But wouldn't the camera and your hand be a little too close for it to work properly?
If all that about the 3DS is true, E3 is going to be crazy for Nintendo. BTW this is how you make a handheld, give us something different. That is what I am talking about.
Yeah, so I go to pick up MY copy of Red Steel 2 --NOT-- from my usual GameStop but from one I pre-ordered in 'cuz it was close to where I needed to be today.
I go to pick it up and the manager has an opened copy in his hand and he says to me: "Oh. I didn't think anybody preordered it without the bundle. I juuust opened this copy now. This is yours."
...and proceeds to try and sell me an opened copy of the game.
He tells me they only got ONE copy w/out Motion-Plus and he juuust opened it. Yeah. Right. They had the game in the store for the last week because of the street date. You KNOW some employee had that game at home, spinnin' in his dirty Wii, playin' it to death...
...I said "No thanks!" used the $5 towards a copy of Just Cause 2 for PS3 and left the store. I'll go to my usual GameStop, and get a nice, sealed copy there. They know me very well there and would never try to pull that crap with me!
Grrr... Still angry --AND-- I landed up buying yet ANOTHER game this week/month 'cuz of the shadey manager dude.
Oh well. Impressions later!

Examiner Red Steel 2 review
http://www.examiner.com/x-12218-Video-Game-Examiner
"If Red Steel 2 was what Red Steel was back in 2006, then this series would be the top Wii third-party franchise. You have to disregard the existence of Red Steel and go into this series with untainted eyes because Red Steel 2 is everything Ubisoft promised and plenty more. It's one of the best video game sequels ever made and not playing this groundbreaking Wii game would be an injustice. Ubisoft has finally shown us what kind of games can be made for Wii and has set a new benchmark for Wii FPS titles and any Wii game that may use a sword. Red Steel 2 is the top Wii game of 2010 right now."

"The first let so many down, while part two succeeds in just about everything it set out to do. Maybe it’s the bundled MotionPlus, maybe it’s just better programming, but we left Red Steel 2 thinking it could be the most improved sequel of all time. If you’ve given up on Wii shooters, here’s a reason to rethink your stance."
9/10
Yeah, no idea. I just subscribe to the idea that Nintendo wouldn't reveal everything about it before E3-that there might be more to it than just 3d screens.
There are no tv's in the future. Just very big hats.
I picked mine up from Best Buy this morning. They had around 10-15 bundle copies, but only 4 or 5 disk-only copies. I almost left without mine because I only saw the bundles at first. Thankfully, an employee showed me where they put the others, which wasn't even in the Wii section.
Me too.
I know. It will give me a fucking headache for the ages, but I can't take my eyes off the damn thing.
Huh? Are you optically challenged in some way?
Oh and AWESOME!!!
