My guess is a wireless nunchuck and they don't want to show Nintendo their hand until they have to.
Show their hand? Their hand is what Nintendo has already released. We knew their hand before the Wii was released.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI am conducting an experiment. i now have the DS3 and a wiimote in front of me. I will now hold each, DS3 in my left and Wiimote on my right and pretend I am playing RE4 Wii.
This is a mess. Ok Wiimote is perfect of course. The DS3, when I hold it in one hand I basically got my thumb on the analog, my index finger on R1, my middle finger across the back of the controller for support and my last two fingers grasping the handle. This puts too much pressure on my middle finger to hold the controller steady as I move the stick. I find myself holding the DS3 almost downward, allowing the right side to just hang.
I found that the best way to do this is to simply rest the DS3 on my lap, not flat but on its side. So the right side is on my lap and the left side is up. That way it stays steady. The analog stick will be sideways but its doable.
Except if it's sideways, then your movements will be rotated. Up will be left.

Impressions from CVXfreak of DSC.
Played Operation Javier. Great visuals, easier than UC. RE0 amphibian Hunters back. Boss is BOW from Famitsu.
Just played through Game of Oblivion (CV). More relaxed than Operation Javier, but also a bit more difficult. More surprise zombies and dogs.
Game of Oblivion has nice visuals that retain the feel of CV. Nice rain particle effects. Framerate was smooth (smooth in O.J. as well).

Hmm, Nintendo copies a TV remote, and Sony copies a flashlight?
So far Kojima has said that Natal will change gaming, it will change the lifestyle of people, it will lead to a day where there will be no controler in video games, it will change society, that the medical community could use it, and that security cameras can use it (what?).
Clearly he is not that impressed.
UPDATE: He says he wants it to be an AI system that will understands who he is. I fully expect him to later say he wants to sleep with it and have babies.
