But the Wii is like a step away from Gamecube with a few extra lighting effects when we're lucky, while 360 and PS3 are quite a few steps away from the old machines, to the point where its obvious to the eye that they're not on the old machine. Which you already know so I don't know why you're playing semantics games here.

True, but a step is still a step. And next gen does not mean better graphics, but the next in line. Even if the graphics would be worse than the Gamecube it would still be a next gen console, because it is the generation after Gamecube, a simple concept really.

If you have a kid that is retarded it still means he is in the next generation. I am "playing the semantic game" as you say it, because you are wrong plain and simple.
