Whoa...I did that PS3 update, and the system restarted like it always does and right before it went back to the menu screen, it froze on me. I shut it off 3 times now, and each time I turn it back on it still freezes and doesn't go to the menu screen.

What the fuck am I supposed to do now? Anyone else have this issue? Dvader?

Ok.....I am officially having the worst luck possible with these stupid-ass next-gen machines. Now I have to send in my fucking PS3, after already going through 4 360's....

I tried to restart the system about 50 times and it just refuses to go to the menu screen. So I call Sony....who also has no clue what the fuck their UPDATE fucked up. They want me to send it in......greeeat, 10 hours into Persona 3, no problem. Even though I was about to play....

Then the chick has the nerve to say "Well good news, you're still under warranty by a few days"....LMAO W000W, as if I'd be PAYING SONY to fix what THEIR UPDATE did to my system.

I'm seriously disgusted with this era of consoles.

Hey say you want about my 360, but I've gotten it fixed twice now for free, and maybe I'm patient but I can easily wait two weeks for the process.

It shouldn't even come to this crap in the first place. I've gotten my 360 fixed 3 times for free, but each time I had to argue the fact that I should, in fact, be getting it fixed for free. Its all a hassle.

Now I do a simple system update on the PS3 and it fucking vegetates my machine....yeah I'm getting it "fixed for free" but what the fuck... I shouldn't even have to send a game system in because of an online patch screwing it up. Between this and my 360 troubles its just getting real old.

Sorry to hear that, Edge. That must really suck. The more advanced consoles get, the less reliable they seem.

Ever since I heard that system updates have the potential to "brick" consoles, I usually wait at least week or two before updating mine--just in case. So far, I haven't had any issues, but I'm always leary of them anyway. I miss the days when we didn't have to update, patch, and/or install console games/systems in order to get them to run properly.

^^^^....That was me.

Oh yeah as for Chrono DS, unless significant changes are made then I don't even know if I should support this SHIT. Why did I say "shit", because this is pure bullshit. This the reason why Square-Enix didn't release these games for the Virtual Console. Charge $8 for the game and receive little profit or charge $40 for the game and receive tons of profit, because people WILL pay for it. What a load of crap, why not make new games Square-Enix?

Are Video Game Predators After Your Children?

"Child predators are migrating from traditional methods to alternate media," says Detective Lt. Thomas Kish of the Michigan State Police. "They are going to places where children are."

"This is the kind of story that would be easy to dismiss as anti-gaming propaganda - were it not entirely factual." --Kotaku

And people still say Nintendo's nuts for requireing Friend Codes, and not having voice chat in their online games. It may not be a perfect solution, but it's a lot safer than most.

Yeah, all of these companies are pretty bad with fixing stuff.  I never had an issue with Nintendo until my DS Lite broke due to their crappy right hinge. I'm still debating whether I should even buy another DS Lite. I may just go back to the DS Phat instead; at least it's durable as hell.

I've never once even so much as heard of someone getting abducted due to voice chat or adding someone to their gamings friendlist. Either way just because Billy or Chelsea is dumb enough to meet someone at the park and their parents were too busy pleasuring themselves to actually notice and parent in no way should effect my gaming entertainment.

Sexual predators are EVERYWHERE. If it isn't in games then it will be in the internet, if it isn't in internet then it will be at your local mall or grocery store. This is something you can't escape as it is a possiblity everywhere you go.

Diablo III Producer - "Color Is Your Friend"

"Yes, Diablo III is going to be much more vivid and vibrant than its predecessors, a fact that has some fans signing a petition against the shinier, happier art direction - now with over fifteen thousand signatures." --Kotaku

People are signing a petition to reduce the amount of color in Diablo III. GASP WTF? That's got to be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard.

PS3 2.40 Update Problems And Solutions

"Users found that removing and reformatting their PS3 hard drive and then reinserting it into the console would get the system to boot completely, after which it asks to reformat the disk again and everything runs normally. Of course they lose all of their saved games and have to redo all of their downloads, but I suppose that is better than sending in the system for a $150.00 repair."

I wonder if this how Sony will fix this problem when people send in their PS3's?

NEWS POSTERS

No problems with that table?

So, I was thinking, Iga is availible for full days posting. But it would be better if Iga could do two mornings and one of these -5 hrs GMT guys could do two evenings. So I could get two days out of the both of you, yet because of the time zones we'd have a better coverage. What do you think? It's the same workload just split up for better coverage.

Then I thought myself and two others could do one full day each and SteelAttack could bring up the rear (insert joke) at the weekend with Rag, should Rag ever actually show his face around here again. Sad

Any thoughts?
