Too much bloom in a game really bothers me. It was a cool effect at first but it was just done to death. Take this for example:
Why does he look like an alien from the Cocoon movies who is trying to burst out of his rubber human suit?
BAHAHA THE CAPTION
Why yes, I have come in search of light indeed! LUMENS AND LUMENS OF IT.
Graphical imperfections are hilarious not annoying. As illustrated above.
I like filmic grain but there should be an option to remove it for those that don't.

They have film grain and motion blur set on by default in Mass Efeect 1. I remember the 1st time playing it thinking man, I thought game was going to look better....then going into options and seeing that ridiculous shit. Turned it off, and instantly it looked like a high end Xbox 360 title.
I really don't like the grain effects in The Evil Within. I struggle to make out things at times.
Not really graphics related but I hate it when interactive objects are hard to spot in a game. So you dont know what you can mess with and what you can't.
Also, like a game where some doors open, some dont with no rhyme or reason.
I know. We should be able to interact with almost any object nowadays.

So basically the entire PS1 library?

Indeed.

I remember being naive and thinking fog in games looked cool.

In Silent Hill it was cool. Not so much anything else.

I don't think there would be a point to that, you'd be endlessly touching things watching animations when only a couple of things would actually be useful. I like the RE flashing object approach.

Yes. That can die forever please.
Let's list some of the most annoying tricks and imperfections in graphics. What do you cringe at when you see it in a game? Bloom? Chromatic aberration? Aliasing? This thread won't go well without images so post them as well.
