What game caught you by surprise so far this year?

Chinatown wars was ace, I was following its previews with a little hype but didn't imagine it would be as good as it is.

I was pleasantly surprised by GTA: Chinatown Wars. I expected it to be a dressed up version of the top-down GTA's but it ended up being in my top 3 favorite of the series. It controlled well (so well you don;t think about it), returned the spirit of the franchise to a more playful one and the mini-games and drug dealing added rather than subtracted.
They did so much with so little, it was a true surprise.
