If that game is really that buggy, then Ubisoft is in for a world of hurt.

People really like it so its probably not as bad as the video makes it out to be. Impressions are super positive on gaf.

Here is an awesome PS3 to PS4 comparison!

No offense to you guys, but I can't wait for this game to come out, flop and not be heard about 'til next year's annual Ubi installment. Tired of hearing about it, so much so, good or bad, I'm not getting it. Boycott applied like I have with the Ass Creed games. If this game isn't the second coming of video-gaming and they're shoving it down our throats as hard as they are **no pun intended** it's gonna kill the credibility of all original IP's in the future and ultimately be bad for the industry. Never had any faith in WatchDogs and still do not now.

TBH, I never had any interest in the game, so I cares not if it flops or not.

You are upset cause Ubisoft has marketing down to a science. They are usually the first to have some new IP on next gen consoles, they know how to hype things up.

I just hope it's more than hype, I bought the game without any reviews. I have a feeling about this 1.

They have marketing down to a science. Too bad their game development skills aren't quite as honed. Didn't like the last few Ass Creed games. Didn't like Far Cry. Got bored with Rayman Legends after 20 minutes.

I am grateful for them being one of the few surviving dev/publishers out there, but I find the way they hype gamers up into a frenzy, only to deliver mostly mediocre games kinda insulting. From day one I have been looking at WatchDogs, saying to myself "I don't get it. What's everyone so excited for?"

I'd be glad to be wrong, so I could add one more game to the 3 or 4 I am planning on getting ALL YEAR, but I smell something suspicious under all the media attention and manufactured hype.

It is true that I like more indie games that under-promise and over-deliver than the big-budget, AAA developed, mass-appeal and mass-marketed ones. Feels more like finding hidden gems than just going along with the majority.

Well if you don't like assassins creed then I don't see why you would  like watch dogs as it is the same DNA running through it. How did you not like Rayman?

Dunno. I just couldn't get into the second one. At all. It was beautiful, sure, but every time I went to play it, I felt nothing at all. Can't put my finger on it.

I'm not sure what to think of Watch Dogs, but I've enjoyed most of Ubisoft's offerings lately, especially South Park.  I'm afraid it's going to be a modern AC, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

My 2 hours in review. It is fuck awesome. But I have a bigger appreciation for GTA than ever now, the detail and the feel of that game is unmatched.

Yeah this game totally awesome. In about 4 hours of play I have done an insane amount of different stuff. Besides the GTA style car chases, races and gun fights I fought aliens in an AR game. I was in a spider tank, with full on upgrading in a huge mini game. I solved a chess puzzle. I had an online friend challenge me to a chase where he from his phone commanded the police force. I ran through an AR obstacle course. There is so much to do and it is all so much fun. This game blows Infamous away, it is easily the best game on the PS4 right now.

The core hacking stealth segments feel fantastic. I only did a few but it feels like you can have some really well designed stealth/combat scenarios. Hacking cameras or objects to create distractions is really cool. Driving is where the game feels off, it is no GTA. Races are boring and escaping cops is no where near as interesting. Everything about the random chaos is terrible, it takes a lot to get police to show up. The citizens react really poorly to mayhem, again it is no GTA. Plus you get negative reputation score if you start killing people so you shouldn't do it.

Graphically it seems to me that I have seen Sleeping Dog max PC settings that look as good as this, so it is not that impressive. It runs super well but the world just is not that detailed. GTAV next gen version should blow this game away visually. The music is poor to me, I know almost none of these songs and don't like the genres. Sound effects are fantastic.

We clearly have a winner here, I can't wait to play more.

OK. Maybe I am wrong about the game, and that is fine --but-- I've been browsing reviews and they all read the same way: Plot is cliche and pointless, character is unlikeable, city is bland, NPC's are boring, Hacking concept is ridiculous, it's no GTA, Driving stinks... I GIVE IT AN 8!

Ubi was hyping it like it should be an 11/10... Most reviews state it's nothing special... yet still an 8. Were expectations raised soooo high that it's getting a "pass" and an inflated score from it. Again, I don't get it. Vader?
