I decided to give PSNow a try and signed up for the free week. I don't know how I missed it, but apparently you can actually download the games on there.  I was always under the assumption that you had to stream the games So I was staying away from it. Now that I understand how this damn thing works, I'm impressed enough with it that I'll probably hang around for a month or two. It has a pretty strong library of games, and quite a few send me recent ones that I haven't gotten around to trying like God of war and Mafia 3. Dancing

Anyway, I saw that A Boy and His Blob was in the library, and I got really excited. I played it briefly on the Wii, but I never got really far in it. It was one of the games lost in the great ice skating massacre of 2009.

Now that I was able to devote some actual time to it, I very quickly figured out why it bombed saleswise. Despite the beautiful graphics and the loving bond between the boy and the blob, this was a game that was designed for no one. It really has a look and feel meant for younger children, but the difficulty is right up there with some of the toughest puzzle games I've ever played. I hadn't gotten past the first zone before I was already swearing at the screen.

Plus the controls are some of the worst I've ever come across. I know this is a port of a Wii game, so WayForward was just making due with what they could, but Jesus tap dancing Christ trying to select one jelly bean after another to transform the blob is just painful.

For the sake of my own sanity and blood pressure I've already put this one away, and I'm going to move on to something else.

Sadly no. God of war seems to be a most recent big title. I will get to the Outer Worlds come the holiday season though.

I have been using it since October 7th. It has been great so far, I can play a lot of the PS3 games I missed out on.

SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:

  • SMB Mix-Up! (1AB2-0000-0047-5A7D)
  • Storm the Castle (77BD-0000-00E0-A9C0)

I am unfortunately going to close up Vampyre for now. Overall it is a pretty fun game, however it really requires your complete and undivided attention when you play it. Along with the main storyline, there are a lot of side quests, characters, and districts that you have to keep track of (not to mention a fairly detailed branching skill-tree). I'm really only playing on weekends these days, and all this is just a little too much to keep track of. I started up the game this morning and spent about 30 minutes just trying to remember what the hell I had accomplished last weekend.

Anyway, I definitely would recommend it, but once again this isn't the kind of game you can just pick up and play. You're going to have to play this on almost a daily basis just to keep everything front of min

I went ahead and downloaded The Unfinished Swan. Unfinished Game might be an equally accurate if the percentage of users getting trophies is any indication. The first chapter, which takes about 20 minutes to beat has about a 55% completion rate. Then getting to chapter 2, which takes an hour sees the number dropped to about 25%. That's a very dangerous sign of how much fun this game might be to play.

I started up Deception IV: Blood Ties. It's pretty much the good old-fashioned slow paced and highly sadistic classic Deception game. so no complaints there. Since it's the PS3 version I had to play it streaming and that's where the problem lies. My internet connection just isn't good enough to play any thing streaming on PlayStation Now. The graphics dip down to a muddy level a little too often, and for the first time I actually got disconnected today while playing.

That said if they ever add the PS4 version of Deception IV, I will be all over it.

I tried Fallout 4 this morning. Seems kind of cool, but this game definitely requires a certain amount of familiarity with the series and how the game is played. There are just too many menus and status screens. I could follow the progression of the story and what I was supposed to do and where I was supposed to go, but when it came to almost everything else I really was in the dark.
