I've got erosive esophagitis, which means that my stomach acid has damaged the jesus out of my esophagus.  On good days I just sound like I have a cold, on bad days I can hardly talk.  My health insurance ran out, so I can't go back to the doctor and get a refill on my prescription.  It kinda sucks.Sad

That really sucks.  Currently the most disgusting common thing I see as a genuine widespread opinion is the group opposing the public option essentially saying "I've got mine, screw the poor, sick and uninsured."  I mean aside from the ignorance of not recognizing part of the problem is the insurance companies doing everything they can not to pay out, even if you can afford it, and aside from the fact that public health care would cut costs per person compared to now; it's complete and utter indifference to the suffering of others.  So much for "Send us your sick, your poor huddled masses;" I guess they forgot "as long as we don't have to treat you."

Yeah, the whole thing frustrates me.  Especially where we can't even pass what we've got now, even though there is no public option.  I wish the Republicans and Democrats would stop fighting eachother long enough to get something done.  Anything.

Can you get new insurance? If you were in the UK you'd be on the NHS like everyone else and you'd have to pay about $12 per prescription. And in some cases you could qualify for free medication.

My recent illness that I shared in my blog.

Couldn't crap all night and made me vomit all weekend.

It was a nightmare.
