Just for the heck of it, I went ahead and ran the test again. I don't know what happened, but that's a crazy jump upward from my usual speed! 
This clearly doesn't represent my normal speed (which is about half of that download speed), but it sure would be cool if it did. 
Hmm, I wonder if this is Comcast's Powerboost in action?
2-3 Gigabyte movies? How are they HD movies then? Normal DVDs are 9 gigs on dual layer. 4.7 gb on single layer.

Good question. That seems more like a highly compressed, featureless normal DVD, than HD.

Unless they are normal or compressed and they just upscale using the PS3 processor and software? It still wouldn't be native HD though.
