What is the bestest bread in the world?

I put forward Challah, the majestic bread of the Jews.

When it's done right, it's soft and creamy texture with some slightly salted butter tastes great. It also doesn't require toasting.

Traditional challah recipes use a large number of eggs, fine white flour, water, and sugar. Modern recipes may use fewer eggs (there are also "eggless" versions) and may replace white flour with whole wheat, oat, or spelt flour. Sometimes honey or molasses is substituted as a sweetener. The dough is rolled into rope-shaped pieces which are braided and brushed with an egg wash before baking to add a golden sheen. Sometimes raisins are added. Challah is usually parve, unlike brioche and other enriched European breads, which contain butter or milk.

Also, French Brioche is nice. A sweet french loaf or bun, used in desserts a lot but great toasted with butter.

Brioche is a highly enriched French bread, whose high egg and butter content give it what is seen as a rich and tender crumb. It has a dark, golden, and flaky crust from an egg wash applied after proofing.

There are many others. Which are your favourites?

Jewish bakers also do these like mini-croissants filled with mazipan. Absolutely delicious.
