I'll be curious to see the sales numbers for this when it hits stores.

Yeah, curious to see the reviews first, the promotion second and the sales next. If it turns out to be a middling or mediocre game, we can't complain if it doesn't sell. And if it has no promotion and is left to die, like numerous other games, you can't make any assumptions either.

It's looking better. I'd say that HV have acheived 360 looking enemy models and a decent control scheme. With PS2 environments and linear looking levels.

Well I just watched the footage on gametrailers and it looks much better. IGN conduit videos always seem distorted.

The screenshots I think are incredibly ugly, but that video on gametrailers looks quite nice.

Awesome. Dev team needs to push the Wii until it collapses.

I don't like the character models at all. Yeah they're nice and shiny, but they're still ugly. They like nice and flashy in motion, though, so during play it looks like it'll look fine, but when you actually have time to look at how boringa ndugly they are (and take a closer look at the enviroments) then it looks ugly.

I think that the character models are the best looking thing about the game. The environments are nothing special at all. In motion everything does move quite fast so you wont notice. I've noticed though that the animation of humans looks weird, like its missing frames, while you dont notice so much with the aliens.

Nah, they look good technically, which is why they look fine in motion to me, it's just that I don't like the style of them, but it doesn't matter whne you're shooting the crap out of them. Grinning

Not really, but I never paid them much attention as I didn't peruse Halo screenshots before Halo's release, I just shot the bastards.

I probably like the style a little bettter as it's smoother, but overall meh again. They looked fine in motion, of course.

I've always preferred shooting humans in FPS games. I know that sounds wrong, but I prefer a modern setting rather than this past/future stuff.

What about something like Half-Life where you shoot both?

To be honest I didn't mind what I was shooting in half-life as for the first half I was always thankful whent here was something---anything---to shoot.

How are you getting on with half life 2?

I finished it. First half bad, second half good. Actually, I liked the second half a lot, though the ending sucked balls. As far as the episodes go I think they're a lot better as they're much more focused so they don't waste as much time doing mundane crap like hitting pieces of wood with a crowbar over and over again, and the vehicle part in Episode 2 wasn't so bad because it wasn't like "OMG THERES A HOVERCRAFT LIKE HOVER AROUND MINDLESSLY!" there was actually a point to it and some pacing leading up to it.

Rambling ftw. I'll try and give you something more coherent when I write a review! Nyaa

The Conduit is looking like it'll be a must-buy for me come June. There really isn't much coming out this spring/summer anyway, and the online mulitplayer w/ Wii Speak sounds great. I just hope the Single player campaign is fairly lengthy.

The anti-aliasing is non-existant.  It's jaggy as hell.  Not that it will stop me from getting it.  But you asked.

Have you seen the gametrailers videos? I can't really tell.

So far this game is getting pretty decent previews, it has tech pushing graphics and infinetely customisable controls. Otherwise it looks fairly linear but previews and videos seem to suggest a fairly frantic pace. It looks like it't going to have satisfying combat but few new ideas.

I guess people are anticipating it because a 3rd party is actually trying and because the control scheme for Wii FPS works so well. The game has 16 player online and supports wii speak and lobbies.
