I saw the first 4 eps of Shakugan no Shana
It's a bit like Bleach - demon creatures only a few can see consume the souls of people and then there are the equivalent of the reapers. It's obviously a bit old, but still fairly decent. If it was on bluray it would actually look quite nice.
I watched The Murder Case of Hana and Alice.
It was hilarious in the end. Reminded me of watching Napolean Dynamite at the end when the credits rolled after the dance and I couldn't stop laughing as my mind boggled over what I had just watched.
It's about two girls who investigate the murder of a boy with 4 wives. The film could be titled : Two Morons.
It was completely unexpected. I think you've got to appreciate gentle subtle comedy to get it.
Finished Noragami Aragoto which is the second season of Noragami.
Animated by Bones.
As a minor god of calamity, Yato not only has no followers but does not even have a shrine to his name. In an attempt to become known, he charges only five yen to grant the wishes of Near Shore dwellers (the name given to the living) to save up for his shrine. Through his missions, Yato encounters a Near Shore girl named Hiyori Iki, whose soul frequently slips out of her body, and Yukine, a wandering spirit whom he adopts as his Regalia (weapon). Together, they work to kill off corrupted spirits (Phantoms) while Yato continues in his quest to become a famous god.
The first seasons was watchable but almost entirely throwaway and not particularly impressive. The second season is a massive upswing in quality. Not quite Nura Rise of the Yokai Clan season 1 to season 2 of a jump but enough to cement the characters as people you are interested in and want to see more of, as well as being successful at planting seeds for the continuation of the storyline.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR
Hunter X Hunter Gon and Killua are trying to learn special moves so they can become players of Greed Island. Wing told Gon to show off everything he learned all at once.
Next week I start Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders; I thought it would automatically DVR it but no I had to manually look it up because they changed the name for Season 2.
I can't even remember the last time I watched Jojo. Crunchyroll became a drag with ads - as I had the free version.
I've been watching Prison School.
Oh ho ho!
Perverted, NSFW, fucked up and hilarious too. I like it a lot.
Finished Prison School. At first it was just this messed up funny show but by the end, it's like a REALLY great show. Well directed, suprises aplenty, often hilarious and perverted as hell. Can't wait for a second season, but the show doesn't end on a cliffhanger or anything.
Update on Hunter X Hunter, in the latest episode Gon conntinued training with Bisky. Killua left Greed Island to retake the Hunter Exam.
It's been so long I've forgotten. I still haven't finished Hunter x Hunter because Netflix is missing a batch of episodes near the end. I could watch them on Crunchyroll but I cannot be assed with the ads.
Still watching Naruto Shippuden, the great ninja war. So is Naruto going to be glowing all the time from now on?
I'm ass deep into Naruto Shippuden the great ninja war is afoot.
All kinds of crazy stuff is happening. It's only now, over 300 episodes into Shippuden that Naruto is finally getting epic and great. Well worth the journey. It's always been watchable, but seeing things finally coming to a flashpoint is very satisfying.
