I finished Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun

High school student Chiyo Sakura has a crush on schoolmate Umetarō Nozaki, but when she confesses her love to him, he mistakes her for a fan and gives her an autograph. When she says that she always wants to be with him, he invites her to his house and has her help on some drawings. Chiyo discovers that Nozaki is actually a renowned shōjo manga artist named Sakiko Yumeno. She then agrees to be his assistant in order to get closer to him. As they work on his manga Let's Fall in Love (恋しよっ?, Koi Shiyo, Let's Have a Romance),[4][5] they encounter other schoolmates who assist them or serve as inspirations for characters in the stories.

It's a high school comedy. Quite funny but a bit disjointed. Almost borders on the sketch show format but pulls just enough plot threads to be satisfying. Executed pretty well, I enjoyed it.

--------------------------------------------------

Started Humanity Has Declined

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where the human civilization has regressed and humanity keeps decreasing in numbers. The story follows an unnamed girl who acts as a mediator between humanity and the "fairies" who are small elf-like creatures attracted by sweets and happy things, but also have the habit to cause trouble to her with their powers in their endless search for amusement.

Pretty unique series in tone. Reminds me of World Conquest Zvezda Plot a bit. Interesting scenarios and I have no idea where it's going.

EDIT: gave up on this, too quirky/obtuse.

Gave up on Humanity has declined, too obtuse.

Ten years ago, Ryouta Murakami along with his childhood friend Kuroneko set out to search for signs of alien life. However, during their search, a tragic accident occurs which gravely injures Ryouta but kills Kuroneko. Devastated by her death since that day, Ryouta vows to fulfill her promise by continuously looking up at the night sky, trying to prove that aliens really do exist.

Started Brynhilder in the Darkness, good so far.

EDIT:

Finished Brynhilder, I liked it but there wasn't enough backstory or explanation as to the lab or what the creatures were. It was however funny and decentely done overall.

Started Selector Infected Wixoss which is based on a popular card game.

The franchise revolves around the eponymous trading card game and follows girls known as Selectors who battle against each other in order to have their wishes granted.

There is an odd plot thread involving a girl whose greatest wish is to marry....... her brother. Which is offputting at the moment. Otherwise seems solid if unspectacular.

Finished Selector Infected Wixoss 13 episodes.

Er... seems to end, on a cliffhanger which I presume is picked up on in the next series, Spread Wixoss but its not even availible here to buy in the UK.

Overall I think the series is pretty good if somewhat deep/heavy toned. Considering its based on a card game I thought the scripts were actually pretty good.

Just started this:

When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace

The story focuses on Senkō High School's Literature Club, whose five members; Jurai, Tomoyo, Hatoko, Sayumi, and Chifuyu, have all somehow developed superpowers. The superpowers have now become a part of their everyday lives as they battle against others wielding similar powers.

It's a school club comedy with light harem elements. It's pretty good so far, not hilarious but there were some leftfield LOL moments. Fun stuff.

EDIT: Finished it. Pretty decent but doesn't add up to much. Still I'm always up for a half decent Harem comedy.

Also reached the point in Naruto Shippuden after the awesome Pain fight/storyline and it's quite obvious that from then we are back to meaningless filler. The series is telling tales of what happened back when Naruto and co were kids. So it's like watching OG Naruto, oldschool.

On Hunter X Hunter I just saw the episode were Chrollo read the fortunes of the Phantom Troupe.

Hisoka's fortune changed when he handed it to Pakunoda.

I can't remember that, seems like ages ago.

How do you guys decide on what Anime to watch?

I usually go off any trailers that appear on DVDs which are usually the opening sequence - creditless. It's led me to bad and good anime. I think on Netflix I don't tend to finish series because a lot isn't dubbed or is incomplete with only series 1 or something. I think the only anime on there I watched all the way through was Hunter x Hunter (still incomplete on netflix) and The Seven Deadly Sins.

It was the episode after Kurapika learned that the leader of the Phantom Troupe was dead but he just faked his death.

I don't know how I decide which Anime to watch. I use to just watch Adult Swim and continue watching what interested me. I have some on Netflix but I can't really watch Subtitled anything unless I understand the language the characters are speaking.

I am struggling to finish the Fairy Tail Celestial drama arc.

This is one of my favourite series, probably no 2 after FMA Brotherhood, but this arc is terrible. It's so derivative it feels like soul-less filler. I hate it.

Finished season 1 of Kamisama Dolls

Kyōhei, a university student, has moved to Tokyo from his old village to try to forget his unpleasant memories of certain events. One evening he goes on a group date with his friends, including his old neighbor and fellow student, Hibino. Later that night, he and Hibino discover a dead, bloody body in an elevator. Unexpectedly, his younger sister, Utao, arrives on the scene with her kakashi (an ancient wooden "god" controlled by the mind) and tells him that his old friend Aki and his kakashi are responsible. A series of encounters follow and Hibino learns that her father is from the same village as Kyōhei and Utao. She later accompanies them to "Karakami" village, the origin of the kakashi, and finds out many things about the kakashi, as well as Kyōhei, Aki, and Utao.

It doesn't feel like a complete season so the story is obviously continued in its sequel series, the catch is that it isn't released here yet.

So Kami are Gods in Japan, Shinto-ism? Here the gods are like well, dolls that people can control remotely. And there is this village with a dark past whose people can use them. It was pretty decent.

Evangelion 3.33............ wtf?

Someone help me here. I saw the first two movies and they were decent, fairly normal with a narrative I could follow. Movie 3 starts and I'm at a loss. Everything is weird, everything is different.

WTF is going on here? I haven't seen the OG series.

Where did Kaworu come from and how is he an Angel? Where did these spears come from? WTF is Lilith actually. WTF are the Angels anyway? What are the Evangelion, I thought they were human tech, but how did they then trigger the third impact and why/how do they bleed and go crazy and animalistic?

If Shinjis unit 1 is now powering the Wunder, why does unit 13 look exactly the same? So NERV (Shinji's dad) is trying to force evolution so humans become a merged consciousness so he can be with his wife again?

Finished Lord Marksman and Vanadis.

In a parallel version of Europe, King Faron of the kingdom of Brune (ブリューヌ, Buryūnu) suffers an illness leading to a dispute between the Brunish dukes Felix Aaron Thenardier and Maximilian Bennusa Ganelon for power domination.

Pretty decent series but it didn't feel satisfying overall. It's like a Fire Emblem anime with some very light Harem elements.

Started Little Busters

It's about 5 friends who decide to set up a baseball team and it's pretty blah so far.

Apparently it's based on a videogame: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Busters!#Plot

It feels like watching a stand up comedian where only 1 in five jokes is funny and the rest of the time you're just watching it just, cause.

EDIT: Gave up 5 episodes in. Blah.

Started and Finished Amagi Brilliant Park.

Seiya Kanie is a good looking, perfectionist boy who is forced by the mysterious Isuzu Sento to visit an amusement park named Amagi Brilliant Park, which is in serious financial trouble and about to be closed forever. The park is actually staffed by refugees from a magical realm called Maple Land and the park is a facility for harvesting magical energy from visitors while they're having fun. As such, the park is the only way the refugees can maintain their existence in the human realm.

To save the park from closing, Seiya is hired by the owner, Latifah Fleuranza, the princess of Maple Land (whom Seiya met before when he was a young boy), to become its new manager and use his skills in entertainment to save it. However, they have only three months to attract 250,000 visitors, a feat that seems impossible given the park's current situation.

----------------------------

And I really enjoyed it. It's a comedy and much of the laughs come from the cutesy animal creatures saying and doing inappropiate things. The Pink Cat is a lecharous dude who betrays people and just wants tits and ass. Very fun show, hope there's a season 2.

Still watching Hunter x Hunter.

Kurapika, Leorio, and Melody captured Chrollo. Gon and Killua are held by the Phantom Troupe and Hisoka texted Illumi at the end of the episode so he can fight Chrollo.

It was Season 3 Episode 19.

They didn't have a new episode last week because it was the weekend before the 4th of July.

Finished Love Chunibyo and Other Delusions Heart Throb which is season 2.

Yūta Togashi is a boy who, during junior high school, suffered from "chūnibyō" (called "eighth grader syndrome" in the English dub), believing that he possessed supernatural powers and calling himself the "Dark Flame Master", therefore alienating himself from his classmates. Finding his past embarrassing, Yūta attempts to start off high school where he does not know anyone, free from his old delusions. This proves to be difficult, however, as a delusional girl in his class, Rikka Takanashi, learns of Yūta's past and becomes interested in him.

Pretty consistent series this, was very happy with season 2 compared to Nisekoi season 2. But they are both good. Decamori was downgraded a bit though, she was the funniest thing about season 1.
