Wow, must be a terrible story then. Nyaa

It pales in comparison to your Dvader Wesker cum on glasses story.

That's why my standards so high.

I wonder where that got to....

Vader hid the thread in shame.

Don't want to hijack this thread. Thought I'd post there here because if you were in the Silent Hill thread you would already be interested in it.

At GAF a couple of guys who had played Silent Hill Shattered Memories and Heavy Rain make comparisons.

Barkstarr:

I agree with this. I've gone through Shattered Memories twice and played through most of Heavy Rain for a second time. They both use different ways to get story across and both are successful with varying degrees of success. But for me the way Silent Hill told it's story I found it far more creative and effective.

And the conclusion and twist to me put Heavy Rain to shame and it really does deserve more recognition.

Anybody still on the fence with this one give it the chance it deserves. It really is an original and atmospheric experience and is a great addition to the series.

Nice. Definitely more interested in it, after what HR accomplished.

They say that a combination of both games would be a dream. Maybe for Heavy Rain 2 using the move controller? Or the next HD Silent Hill?

The next HD Silent Hill better take some notes from this game instead of keep going through the turd path.

I think Natal would actually be cool in these sorts of games when characters are looking at you and can gauge your reactions. Maybe say something shocking and see if your face reacts.

More comparisons from GAF:

"Now that I'm up to the car-under-water part of Heavy Rain... it makes me appreciate the work Climax did even more. Kudos to Climax for Heavy Raining before Heavy Rain Heavy Rain-ed.

Hopefully the success of that game will get more people interested in Shattered Memories, since they are pretty much the same type of game just maximized for each system. Bril-liant-work."

I liked it. The beginning and end of it felt like a (good) M. Night Shyamalan film, and you'll even notice the colour red has meaning throughout the story, which is something Shyamalan has done before. Feels good man.

What did you guys think of Lady in the Water? I know it was panned but I kinda liked it.

I did not like that trees killing people film.
