Hey now, that's an unfair assessment of what said! The conversation was not

Thread Moved from Wrong Forum.
I use Google Reader. In looking at the alternatives it seems like the RSS Reader world is going all-tablet, which doesn't suit me. And I hate being reliant on Google for anything. But it seems like they have browser based RSS readers locked down. Which is scary.
So what RSS Reader do you use?
