I'm sorry to hear about the Mexican VA. Of course, I wouldn't have noticed.
If you see the mysterious stranger, try to do his missions if you're not prerssed for time. It adds a little twist to the ending. They start with the "I Know You" mission.
This is what he looks like.

I know exactly WHO he is... but what does he add to the ending? I don't remember anything having to do with him and I DID do all of his missions...?

BLARGH! SPOILERS!!!
EDIT! EDIT!
Travo go HERE. Steel, don't even hover over the link!
Although Steel will probably find this incredibly cool, he doesn't need to know yet!
Or bugsie or anyone else for that matter!
You're supposed to draw your own conclusions, but I knew pretty much immediately!
PS: The link provides answers and evidence to your question. I knew who he was from old stories and stuff --BUT-- I just found this movie/blog entry when searching for info on the top-hat wearing gentleman in black.
Edit: It answered my question too!
Huh? What did just happen in here?
I finished Mexico last night. I must be closing on the 20 hour mark. The final Mexico battles were a lot of fun, but I'm kind of glad I'm leaving behind the horrid VA.
I also did the final "I Know You" mission. I didn't understand shit.
Aaaand, the credits finally roll. Pretty cool game. Definitely my favorite game of 2010, although it has some serious pacing issues. It is both a homage and a love letter to westerns, and it really feels that way throughout the ride, and especially towards the end.
Yeah. Vader was assuming I would give my GOTY to a game which I gave a "10" to. I didn't give RDR a 10, but I did give Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M and Dragon Quest IX 10's. My reasoning was RDR is an imperfect game, but an incredible experience altogether. Yeah, there were points when I got a bit bored. When you think you are done with the game it goes on and on for a few hours more, but I'll say it once again: Oh! The Ending...! So. Entirely. Worth. It!
I never noticed the Mexican VA. Some people sounded sloppier and lazier than others, but I never would have guessed it was THAT imprecise.
The whole Outlaw Delivery Service thing, I actually enjoyed those, despite the spawning Enemies! Truth be told I didn't do EVERY one of them, so maybe they never got to the point where they were overly lengthy for me...?
Either way, keep on going! The good totally outweighs the bad here and the ride in itself is totally worth it!
