34 years ago 1990.

Before GPS.

Girlfriend (taking the picture) of myself and her friend talking to a CHIP about his job after he gave my girlfriend a ticket when we were lost somewhere in LA county.

Note the pump-action shotgun mounted to the dashboard.

Aftr she got the ticket I was thinking, "Well WTF, why don't I go and play the Aussie tourist card and interview the dude about his job/ life" -- I was 17 and inquisitive.

And no, we were not distracting him from the body in the bag on the side of the freeway to our left we had just dumped off.

Didn't know someone could get a ticket for being lost in California. Doesn't surprise me. LOL

lol. I think the actual ticket was for erratic lane changes/ failure to indicate.  Becuase she was lost I think she saw an off-ramp sign and went from one side of the freeway (carpool lane) to the other without looking or indicating. Even though she was not from "The Valley", she was the epitome of Valley Girl.

I just did image search of valley girl and any of them would be her (if they had bigger hair), but this one is right on. She could be anyone of those (except for the black one).  There were no black valley girls in the 90's.

I hope they're still aren't any black valley girls, one of the few good holdovers from Jim Crowe.

About to sneak into the Ritz-Carlton's 24 hour pool at 1am with my former-boss-now-friend's son (sneak because it was closed, and not actually open 24 hours). It took about 5 minutes before we were kicked out (of the pool, not the hotel) and advised to shower immediately because the pool was saturated with chlorine for cleaning. But some months later the same friend managed to get kicked out of the same hotel, allegedly for harassing Blink-182 who were staying there at the time.
