Still disaapointed in DKC returns. I wanted it as a 3D platformer, like DK64 but with retros awesome metroid like level design. No, collecthatthons can die in a fire!
I don't want a collectathon, I want Metroid prime like level design, minus the shooting and in 3rd Person.

I love the look of Zelda Wii and I really love the return to Donkey Kong Country. The shifting around of the 3DS for FPS games doesn't really sound too appealing to me.
That wont happen. They already got controls right in Prime Hunters, you use the touch screen like a mouse. The only reason it felt bad initially was because we had to use the DS Phat and a tiny stubby stylus.

agree with vader, so far it's bland and devoid of character
You mean you agree with GG.
I think Monkey nailed it, it looks like a fanmade zelda look.
Iga_Bobovic said:Oh and if anything Windwaker lacked characters. There was a grand total of one character there, Ganondorf. The rest was painted water melons.
Wat?

Yeah, good thing there is another Metroid coming. No point in getting disapointed in something that DK was never about. Also good that Retro is diversifying.

Windwaker sucks balls and so do you for liking its art style.

What was DK about? If it stuck to that we would stand at the top of a structure with our feet planted to one spot, rolling barrels down at Mario.

I liked the stylising of some enemies already and everything looked nice and smooth not blocky as TP or super deformed like WW. It's good, we just saw too little.
I'm not talking character(s) as Iga assumed.
I'm talking character. Charm, vision, whatever you want to call it.

If you want a Metroid like experience play Metroid. Donkey Kong is about platforming, 3D platforming would be cool also. But guess what we have 2 Galaxy games. We can always use 2D platforming, and I am sure Retro is doing other things also.
The reasons you are disappointed is because your expectations were unrealistic.

I was trolling, I knew what you were talking about. Still to early to tell about the art style.
Anyway. When does the full showfloor open for the games that didn't make it to the conference and everything? I still hope there will be a corner with a Wii unit playing Xenoblade...

It's unrealistic to expect a 3D platformer after DK64? Should I have been expecting a 2D bongo playing platformer? Guess what, we already have two NSMB games, we can always use more 3D platformers, fuck head.
LOL no I'm only joking buddy! DKC returns does look good. If it and Goldeneye hadn't been leaked by IG-fucking-N then they both would have appeared with no pre-conceptions. Seriously, if no one had spoiled it, a new DKC and a new Goldeneye would have rocked the house down.

Ack, no Last Story either.

I would have liked that as well, mostly since I'm not a big 2d platformer fan but this looks like a lot of fun.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I hated all the wind waker comments about the weird shape of link's head, etc. There is no individual style - just cartoony realism. This is why the deca sport characters aren't as interesting as mii's.

Yep.
Ok now i'm really jealous... 3DS has more support before it's released than my Wii in 4 years
