Ok i watched the video of anthem slowly analyzing everything I can and came up with some theories:

• The world isnt as open as it looks. Before launching with the jetpack you see a vast open world but the backgrounds look fake. There are icons in the distance but they are placed strange like its just a fast travel point.
• When they jump off instead of flying down to the ground the character strangely veers left and downward into a confined tunnel, leading me to believe you dont fly around the open world, you get funneled into specific spaces.
• The tunnel leads to a jungle that looks impressive but it has tall foliage on the sides and almost looks like a half pipe which the player stays on. Again creative use of environment to funnel the player.
• This leads to an open area where you can explore and jump around. There is a temple like thing with a giant monster fighting other creatures, that means tough enemies may guard certain locations which is great.
• There is anti aircraft firing as you fly and then the player dives into the water, this is also tunnel shaped, so not much freedom to explore but still super cool to have underwater locations.
• The first combat has the player using a shotty that feels like its right out of ME:A. There is a small grenade launcher like attack used too.
• Her friend shows up and he is a different class, a titan lets say and he has a punch the ground AoE attack.
• Main character has three skills shown on the bottom of the screen, one is the multirocket attack shown later, which is super impressive and powerful and she has 300 of them.
• Now you explore this very large open area and come across a giant machine being shot down in real time and it destroys trees so the environment can change.
• The titan shoots a mortar at the enemies that creates a huge explosion and leaves a CRATER! the environment is shaped by the attack.
• The main switches gun to a more long distance one, combat seems nice and fluid, lots of jetpacking around. Enemy types show regular grunts, one in a mech suit which is a heavy.
• The walker event was something called scar ambush which when completed gave a legendary loot weapon. I assume this is going to be a random event like a public event in destiny.
• Then they talk about the shaper storm and how they take you off the beaten path. The players go off to a path that once again seems narrow.
• They summon two friends, one is a new class, i will say this is the warlock of the group, it flies without jetpacks and has a cool cloak.
• The new characters summon and next to their level and name is some environmental stat, like lighting up 3%, no clue what that means.
• They all run through the storm down the focused narrow corridor, lots of crazy cool effects and NPC creatures running around, I think its all scripted. It leads to the ball of light which I assume leads to a level or "strike"

So I don't think this is going to be as open as it looks at first. I think there will be clear roads that take you from large open space to another but I don't know if you can just fly where ever like the mountain in the distance. Combat looks great, Mass effect but even faster with better abilities.

They said it is the "smallest" Xbox.

Thinking about the Conference I originally gave it a B- because I liked a lot of the games.

I might change it to C because while I liked a lot of the games shown it isn't enough to get an Xbox Xbox since all of them are either Timed Console Exclusive or is playable on Xbox One and Windows 10.

The Last Night, Code Vein, Metro Exodus, and Anthem are my favorite games shown.

Well to anyone but a child with lady fingers it is fairly small.

Yeah. Just like 360 discs you put it in and then it downloads the game. I still have Ninja Gaiden Black, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, Guilty Gear Reload, and Dead or Alive Ultimate so I'm hoping those make it in. There are definitely a bunch of others I would buy as well.
