Just beat the story of Mass Effect 2 - 14hrs across 50 saves.
I beat both games in the space of a DAY. Fuck, that has to be something of a record for me.

You are going to have Mass Effect dreams.

Yep. I have her as a party member now. And I've got the whole instructing my party members thing down now, so combat is much easier. Making me sit though a dialog every time I die in battle is not though (they send you back so far when you die).
What do all you MASS debaters think about the day one DLC. Not that there is day one DLC, that's old hat, but that the actual description of the DLC itself is a MASSive (heh heh) spoiler.
I'm not spoiling it here in case you have some how avoided it.

Dont care (cause I am getting it with the CE). They are giving extra content to those that pay for the deluxe edition, those that dont need to pay for it. No different than paying for a special edition movie for all the special features. Also the DLC is NOT that important to the story and the character in it appears in the game anyway.
What I mean is I think it's a bit lame for E A to reveal a character and spieces that I imagine would come as quite an impactful moment in the game.
It'd be like announcing Wesker as D L C for R E 6.
Well the character is in the game regardless as far as I know. The DLC is just extra content with the character.

No, its a spoiler sadly. To me it is more about what happens than who is there. Anyway I believe that was a mistake by Bioware, that description was accidentally put up early on the store, it was not going to go up until the game came out.
Anyway my ME2 review is finally up, only took a year.

Damn, took me 40 hours to finish ME2 again. I did EVERYTHING though.
Dvader, you mean we actually GET the DLC with the CE? So I won't have to buy it?
I would buy it anyway....just because I love this series so much I am a sucker for it and need to see everything. And yes, I am pissed that I read about the DLC and had that spoiled for me before playing it.

This I did not know.
Ok, I just finished Mass Effect on the PC...same great game it was on the Xbox, but with better controls, loading times, and smoother visuals. Its still a 9/10 for me.
Trying to play thru ME2 this weekend is getting to be tough, as the PS3 version is --OVERSTUFFED-- with content! I just wanted to get thru the main game as quickly as possible, attempting to get as close to my choices from my 1st play-thru on the 360. Problem is, most of the DLC and extra content is sooo intriguing, I feel compelled to do it! I never played any of the DLC on the 360 version, and I obviously missed out on --A LOT-- ! ! ! The whole mission in the Hammerhead was AWESOME and I have a strong feeling David Sanders (?) is going to have a major role in 3. I didn't think I wanted to bother with Kasumi's Memories, but now that I've done her side-quest, she is a constant part of my team along with Jack. I never even realized how much the mythos of the game "got" to me until I had the option to go to the original Normandy crash site and started recognizing the names of the dog-tags I was picking up!
I was annoyed the Blood Dragon armor was even --IN-- the game until I started using it and found it to be AWESOME! Same with the Arc Projector! The only person I don't seem to care about is Zaeed. Yeah, he's the grizzled, old, war veteran type with a ton of stories to tell, but so far I don't find him intriguing in the least...
The game LOOKS great on the PS3, but performs kinda shoddily. You can just tell by this game alone, the PS3 either doesn't have enough memory or a fast enough transfer between HD and memory to keep up. It's not on the level of Skyrim, for example, but it's noticeable. Audio clips drop out or skip sometimes and the video jumps and stutters (mostly during HD access); I haven't experienced frame-rate drops, but I wouldn't be surprised. It really doesn't affect the gameplay, it's just a noticeable flaw in an other wise PERFECT game!
My hopes are to finish this game by tomorrow afternoon, and tomorrow evening I will play "The Arrival" to ready myself for 12AM, Tuesday morning!
Yeah Leo I dont know what the game would be like without the DLC. To me that is ME2, the full experience and it is incredible how much amazing content there is.
Is that the mission where you pick up Liara? I suggest geting her before doing any other missions in the game, because her powers come in very handy. Once you max out her powers she can pretty much take on a room of enemies herself. Plus, she is fucking sexy for a blue alien bitch.
