Oh, I still want to play through it.  I just wasn't too impressed with the beginning.  The issues I had with the controls are over now, but it just felt like the game was stringing me along. Follow this guy, now this guy, now this guy.  That's not what I expected as a CoD semi-newbie here.  Now I've only made it past the prison area, escaping by motorcycle, so maybe it'll open up more.  I played one zombie mode so I can't so anything about online yet.  I'm the kind of person that prefers to play online with friends, not strangers, anyway.

How, Pray Tell, does Zombie Mode work? I haven't tried it yet because I REFUSE to play anything online cooperatively with the average CoD player. I would definitely play this with you, if you still have the game. Any updated impressions otherwise?

I have yet to pick up both Sacred 2 and Borderlands. They're still a bit out of my hobo comfort zone, but I'll get them for sure.

Kinda wished I had Borderlands again.

I HAVE Borderlands for PS3 and HAD Sacred 2 for PS3 too.

Sacred isn't a bad game by any means, I just never had anyone to play it WITH and its design is kinda old now. I want to play something a bit more current (like Diablo 3) and a bit better quality than Sacred.

Leo you are working under this assumption that the only reason I don't like Black Ops is because I am playing a lesser version.

There are plenty of reviewers and forumers who have played or reviewed Black Ops HD and have the same negative impressions of the campaign and of the multiplayer.

I will stop there, I could literally sit here for 48 hrs and still have stuff to post, haven't even got into the reviews yet but you can see the pattern here.

They must be playing the PS3 version! Nyaa

No seriously, there will always be critics, haters, trolls for any big release games. These same haters who bash the game are probably the same guys that spend over 200 hours playing it.

It's the same ol' routine. It's going to happen again with MW3 or the next CoD game, and not just CoD, but also with the next "big release" game. Happened with Halo Reach as well.

People just like to overly criticize.

People also appear to like dismissing valid criticism for games they enjoyed by saying stuff like this.

You know, there are people who bash Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Chrono Trigger, Resident Evil 4, Red Dead Redemption, Half-Life 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid IV, God of War 2, CoD4 Modern Warfare, Halo Combat Evolved, or Uncharted 2.

Like I said, there are people who just like to criticize good games just because, whether it's valid or not.

And like I said, people also like dismissing criticism with comments about what people, haters, fanboys, whatever, do, instead of try to discuss the several posts where members in the very forum they're in explained exactly what they found wrong with the game, compared to past games in the very franchise, compared to other games in the very genre, that they happened to enjoy more, essentially claiming those members are like those people, ie, with no valid opinion or argument, just hate. I dunno why we had to repeat what we said though.

Edit: oh look, more -s, thanks. I don't think the - is an "I disagree" button, child. There are like 10 people posting here, how about you just come out and say what you want to me instead of act like an immature turd? Does clicking that button make you feel you have a better argument, or what? Maybe you'll eventually realise that being silent and giving -s just makes people believe you can't even present an argument that goes beyond ad hominem. At least keep it in one topic, going on a rampage giving -s to every post the person you disagree with made recently, regardless of the topic, is even dumber. You could have just left it at "I love this game" posts, it's not like anyone came to ridicule people for enjoying a game, leo was the one who started making posts attacking & dismissing the statements of those who didn't, as if they didn't want to have another game they enjoy.

Um, I lost connnection after about five minutes, so not much to tell.  It was me and two other guys in a room.  Zombies soldiers kept coming at us, mostly outside of the room, behind barricaded windows and doors.  They came at a slow pace, but their numbers picked up after a few minutes.   You had money to spend from killing zombies which could buy more weapons and open more doors.  The connection didn't last long enough for me to open another door so I'm not sure what's ahead.  It seemed as though it would get very fast-paced soon if I was still playing.

Other single player impressions, I like the stage where we had to infiltrate the space station.  I finally saw some gameplay variety and was able to use different strategies for taking down enemies.  It felt less scripted, which I like, with a few action sequences throughout.  BTW, I love the crossbow.  I feel so badass with it.   I have a feeling this game would play a whole lot differently in co-op.  I bet GG would feel the same too.  There's something about playing with friends that can increase the enjoyment of any game.

Oh, and Leo, do what I do if there is no one to play online with.  Don't use a mic.  It eliminates the stupid conversations.

Just played through two chapters:

From the Frozen Wastes in Project Nova...

...to the cramped, underground Rat Tunnels in Victor Charlie.

I'm usually NOT the squemish type, but the Human Shield, Knifing Guys in their Sleep and Creeping through the Rat Tunnels did get to me a bit. A bit Gorey but still Cool!

Definite Spoilers here! Watch this journey down a river in Laos set to the Rolling Stones: "Sympathy for the Devil."

If that doesn't float your boat  Nyaa  watch this video where you direct troops from a Spy Plane, then zoom down to BE the troops, rapel down a mountain side and take over an Installation in the snow using a Crossbow.

Errr... This has all been done before? Seems new to me!
