AlphaOmeagaSin says Zelda is the best open world game he's played. So now I believe it because he's played them all.

I can't even find the Wii U version. I also don't have a Switch so I can't play it until I get a Switch.

SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:

  • SMB Mix-Up! (1AB2-0000-0047-5A7D)
  • Storm the Castle (77BD-0000-00E0-A9C0)

I've been chatting to Bugs, he's playing Zelda on U, doesn't like how they aren't using the gamepad screen. He hasn't played many open world games.

I kinda love how the game doesn't explain anything.

So you get a horse and if its too far away when you whistle it wont come to you. And so when you warp via shrines you cannot bring your horse, pretty big oversight as you can no longer whistle and expect it to get to you wherever you are.

And then, I found a second stable. And hours later a 3rd etc and realised you could use these stables to withdraw a horse like an ATM. It sounds stupid but working that out for myself was strangely satisfying.

Yeah I like how much of this game is left up to the player to discover.

I did talk to these two kids that told me how the horse system works in that if you register a horse with one stable you can withdraw that horse from any other stable.

I'm not enabling your cheating GG! No first post for you!

So where is everyone right now. I think I am close to 50 hour sleep in which would finish basically all zelda games but in this one I have seen nothing yet, just one corner of the map. I do waste so much time on everything, I search every area for seeds, I get every chest I find, I go to every point of interest, whcich means I end up not significantly advancing the plot or missions any and that hurts.

The game is brilliant but it's too big, it needs to be More focused. They went for the ultimate freedom game and the gameplay systems are incredible. But does those structure make for a better game than what came before?

So I am in lake hylia now, I didn't want to go there but I saw a dragon so of course I had to check it out. I have done about 40 shrines, I have 110 seeds. I haven't visited a new town in like 20 hours. I am blown away by the different things they put around the game world like rock golf, you'll see if you figure it out. It's all genius.

I have no way of telling how fat I am in this game.

I must have done about 20 shrines. Still no dungeons.

I have criss crossed 5 map sections but two of them blind (no towers for me). This game is huge and I feel like it could last me at least 100hrs. Waiting for our activity logs to activate on Switch tomorrow or Sat in our profiles.

I already posted how far I am in this game previously. I keep wandering around, climbing up mountains and taking in the scenery. I keep seeing points of interest and wondering what I might find over there so I try to travel there to check it out. Still haven't gotten a horse yet.

Lol, says the one annoyed by autocorrect.  If you look to the right of the loading screen, it shows all of your progress.

Finally got the map all filled in. Whew. I have now finished 2 dungeons, 42 shrines, found 28 korok seeds, and found 3 great fairies. Killed a couple of those giants. Met up with a giant rock monster but I was too focused on getting to a tower so I didn't fight him.

yeah I've started phone posting now too. Nyaa I did see my progress on the loading screens last night. So if the dungeons are I assume inside these beasts does that mean the art style is the same in each dungeon? Also has anyone done the stage where you have to smash the metal ball into the hole like golf with water in between? Anyone manage to do part 2 if you skirt the end point.

I've heard this is by far the hardest Zelda of all time, other than Zelda 2 which was more frustrating than hard. This is awesome because that's one thing I always dislike in Zelda is that they make them slightly too easy. I'm not the kind of guy who likes everything super hard, especially now that I'm older and have less time to waste on any one game. But I also don't like it so easy that it seems dumbed down for either retarded people or to insult the intelligence of young kids.

My girlfriend went and bought me the Wii U version because she was sick of hearing me say "man I really want to play Zelda but I don't want a Switch right now". LOL

So I'll be playing soon! Not sure iuf I should start it with Mass Effect so close though...plus I have like 10 other games i'm in the middle of. Fuck me. LOL

Yeah I did that part. I used a lighter one handed weapon because each hit with the heavier two handed ones gave the ball too much kinetic energy. It's easier to fine tune the energy with a lighter weapon. I think 11 hits was the right amount.

Welcome to the club. I'm hoping to finish Zelda by time Mass Effect Andromeda comes out.

I'm saving Mass Effect for my spring break in early April so that gives me a solid month with Zelda.
