Last night was amazing and my favorite time with the game. I am getting over the fact that this isn't really the zelda I know, it's different, it's still great. I did the Zora beast and the entire sequence from getting there to the completion was amazing. That said I won't call it a dungeon because it's not a dungeon, it's something else.

It's a shame they decided to make a zelda game without proper zelda dungeons, not sure why they decided that needed to change. Some of you will claim this new thing is better, it's not, I don't care what you say, it's not. The way the best zelda dungeons were designed were the best examples of gameplay mixing of action and puzzle solving in all of gaming, nothing comes close and now that is gone. The dungeons didn't need to follow the same structure as before, use one item on everything, it could have evolved, been more complex, not removed. So my dream game would be this game with 9 or so proper zelda dungeons around the map with all kinds of trials to reach those dungeons.

That said what this game is doing is remarkable, I am constantly being surprised at the different things to do. The crazy fights that randomly occur. Awesome riddles and puzzles. It's brilliant.

Oh did you guys fight the lynel?! My god that was harder than most souls bosses. I did a super defense buff and still almost died a ton of times.

You saved the easiest dungeon for last?  The dungeon was super easy but I love the game mechanic of moving the trunk to alter things. Yes, it's different but for the most part, I love the changes.  Exploration is wonderful.  I love the sense of discovery, now knowing where you are going, not sure if it's a dead end, but it's wonderful when you find something new.  It's not for everyone but I really needed this change. Skyward Sword felt a little stale and restrictive to me so this freedom is a dream come true.  It's the shot in the arm that this series needed.  Of course an extra dungeon or two would've been great but I'm still in love.

No, I didn't fight lynel, just snuck around.

BTw, the part where I had to figure out how to enter Ruto with the prince is a definite highlight of the game.  It's so fun.

I love pushing my climbing abilities to their limit to reach new heights. I currently have a bandana that gives me a little more climbing speed and have acquired two extra stamina vessels via spirit orbs. It's such a rush to just barely make it to the top of some high object with a last ditch jump as your stamina hits empty. I also love those long glides after jumping from some high spot.

I tried fighting a Lynel earlier in the game and got wrecked so I've been kind of just sneaking around them or just running away for now. I did fight and destroy my first Guardian last night and it was pretty thrilling. I've been sneaking and running from those giants as well. I still haven't met up with any of those giant rock monsters yet though.

Recipe please.

I still haven't done a dungeon. WTF is a lyne?

I run from Guardians and rock monsters.

I found that the same enemies in different areas have much higher stats and are much harder to beat. The weapons I used at the beggining of the game can't be used on the enemies in far off places. There are some situations I cannot begin to deal with without bomb barrels placed in the encampments. There are enemies I have bombed with rune bombs 10x each and they still aren't dead.

Getting to Rito village was tough, but worth it.

Nice. I've gotten my Hylian Trousers, Tunic, and Hood upgraded twice. Also found and lit the furnace so I can create Ancient weapons and Armours.

I have 17 Korok seeds but haven't found a use for them yet.

Exploring in this game is so fun and rewarding.

Recipe is anything that says defense up, just throw a bunch of them together. Always test of three will do the trick before wasting five.

Experienced some lag recently. I was fighting some of those large Mobolin creatures and when I would knock one down it would kind of pause for a split second as they fell down. It very brief and very minor though so definitely not a big issue or really bothersome.

There's a fat korok, you trade the seeds for more inventory slots. I think he's on the road to hateano village but I could be mistaken. Anyone beat the rito Medoh dungeon? Given how tough the enemies are in this region I'm wondering if I'm just going to get slaughtered there. Can you warp out of dungeons easily? Where is this furnace btw?

Cool, thanks. I'll try to hunt him down. Don't worry about trying a dungeon, you can leave it anytime and come back to it again later. That is until you beat the boss and activate the final switch. The furnace is in the upper east area of Akaal(sp?).

GG, I left a dungeon after getting to the boss and I was able to travel back with no problems.

Archie, the fat Korok is right near the Kakariko village entrance, close to the river.

Oh ok. Perhaps it was just that one then. I've only done the one dungeon so far, the Divine Beast Vah Ruta, and it warned me before activating the final switch that I wouldn't be able to go back in. I can travel to it but it will only let me get so close to it now.

Thanks for the Korok info.

Wait!  Are you talking before or after the boss battle?  I was assumed by GG might want to leave to stock up before the boss.

LOL Ok we're giving GG the same advice. Yeah you can leave and return anytime before defeating the boss and activating the final switch. I thought you were addressing my post to GG.

Lightning attacks can be pretty annoying because it keeps making you drop your weapons.
