Nice to see everyone enjoying it. I've accepted that this game is just not the zelda I want. I keep playing and while brilliant in many ways not the ways I want. For all the things that make me smile I am left wanting more. I feel I am so powerful now that even fights aren't that great anymore. The combat system is great when you are scavenging for ways to stay alive, once you can use powerful weapons it just becomes a lot of mashing the button and dodging. Even lynels fall into a simple pattern of repetition. The shrines have been bugging me lately, I've had some combat ones, or a gimmicky fake golf one. Almost no actual puzzles.
I'm at death mountain now and Im going to do the third beast.
GG, I suggest you try against the one at the great plateau first. It seems weak enough that you can practice with it and figure a strategy to beating them.
Edit: then again, stock on bomb arrows and stay far away.
GG, that scene that you're talking about....try mounting it and shoot the other animals.
I don't have any powerful weapons yet so I'm at the point in the game when it's probably at its hardest....I mean I'm actually running away from random goblins now. Not something I can recall doing in a Zelda before.

When I first met up with one I really didn't know how to fight it so I just kept throwing bombs at its weak point and blowing them up. It didn't do massive damage so it took awhile.

I hear there are snow boots? I have done 50 shrines. Got asshanded by yigas in the stealth section.

He always has his weak spot facing away.

Sounds perverted.

yes. Btw anyone else love how they've set up some of the villages like swanky foreign resorts? Feels really peaceful there and at the beach village.
I rode on top of a bear this morning. I had to shoot him with a few arrows first.
GG, I found the snow boots near Gerudo Village. Warp outside of it and the run to the left of the wall and talk to a specific NPC. Dress in a specific way.

You can ride other animals but you can only stable horses.
I just reached a shrine that says "This feature can be used only with the Wii U gamepad. Switch to the Gamepad to play".
Are you fucking kidding me?! That shit is so annoying they literally do this in almost every fucking game. Why do I need to use two different controllers? If that's the case then just DON'T ALLOW use of the Pro Pad, at all.
Fucking DUMB.

I'm guessing no motion control in the pro pad?
I never ran into him myself but if you have the Snowquill outfit with each piece upgraded by the Great Fairy at least two times the wearing the whole set will make you immune to freezing so that may help.
