Watching youtube videos, it appears South Korea has created the utopian society of a sausage free society filled with only stunningly beautiful ladies.

Some of the male stuff seems overproduced. Seems you have to be some kinda uber dance troupe with fresh moves to do well.

Glad I've at least saved your conscience! Nyaa

Back then I had another friend as well who was really into k-pop, and while I helped him with his homework he'd attempt to get me into it...

I enjoy Full Moon. Happy

You guys never made any threads/blogs about it. I needed links.

I don't like BTS btw, it's all about the dancing. Also find it funny that some of the Korean male groups look like Ouran High School Host Club.

Also, there is so much hip hop in K-Pop. More than America.

I remember Yoda posting a few links.

BTS is all about the lyrics, not the dancing. WinkWink In any case, I'm more interested in k-pop for the dancing.

The general look of many k-pop performers pretty much is anime; thanks to the makeup, plastic surgery and larger build of Koreans compared to the Japanese. Nyaa

I assume black metal and technical death metal are next.

FM802 Japan does these tracks where they record with a whole variety of artists that is quite fun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTGCzWjz9R4

It's cheesy, but the songs are nice and it's fun spotting your favourites there.

Sooooo.

I've been watching top 100 Korean pop songs from various years, from 2017 down to about 2014 now.

There are SO MANY boy bands, wtf, SO SO MANY. Oh gawd.

Some of the dancing is cool, and I'm not really into that sort of thing, but credit where it's due. Lots of girl groups too, which I'm normally not into, don't like those massive troups of J-Pop idol groups. But the Korean groups music is a lot more positive and poppy, pretty catchy and it helps that the videos are so well produced and colourful.

It doesn't hurt that the ladies are gorgeous either.

On the whole I think Japanese music is better but there is some good/great k-pop I have heard.

Of the girl groups, Mamamoo, Apink, Red Velvet, Fromis 9 are all right.

There are a couple of Jay Park songs that I like. Seohyun has some good stuff. Eddy Kim. Hyolyn. There are others I like, I just haven't memorised their names yet.

Back to J-Pop I have discovered a few artists with a similar sound that I love. Oresame/Shiggy Jr and there is one more I forget the name of.

Very upbeat, some synth mixed in.
