I don't watch television anymore.  Aside from shows generally sucking anyway, whenever there is something interested, you can assure yourself your be interrupted repeatedly to learn about Axe Bodyspray for the 30th time.  A hidden malice is the fact that an increasing time allotment for commercials means less time for the actual show, and cutbacks have to be made -- see: The Simpsons for said effect.

The only thing left I watched I moved to online viewing, and that's the Daily Show and The Colbert Report.  Well, Comedy Central has now crammed commercials on there as well, and not just at the beginning and/or end which would be fine.  Instead, the same damn interruptions throughout.

I'm close to just quitting on it altogether.  First I'll work on a methodology of extracting the video source though.

It's the only way to watch Television.

I've used Tivo for 6 years now, and I won't go back!

   30-second commercial skip, FTW!

One of the reasons why I'm a firm believer in the Internet being the "new TV".

The programs I want to watch, I record and fast forward the ads. Sometimes ads are good because its a good break to make a snack or use the toilet.
