I have a Pioneer TRE-D1000 Digital Cordless Headphone Transmitter. It uses Dolby Headphone technology to create 5.1 surround sound, and accepts Dolby Digital, DTS, and Pro-Logic II signals through its optical and/or stereo RCA imputs. It works really well too, and the 5.1 very convincing; you can hear those damned little grunts in Halo sneaking up behind you on your left side as if they really were there.
I imported mine from Japan before they sold them here in the US for around $400 back in 2004, and it was worth every penny. I never watch movies or play games without it. The headpones are pretty big, but very comfortable, and produces fantastic sound quality (IMO).
I'm sure Pioneer still sells something similar to it these days.
Whenever I'm in the need of something techy and want reviews, I head to NewEgg.com first. There are usually plenty of good reviews on any given product so it works as a nice reference point. Here are the wireless headphones sorted by rating:

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThanks Rave -- that's good to know that paying more makes a difference. I'll check out that brand.
Thanks also Yoda -- I never remember New Egg -- I'll check there as well.
I recomend the Wii Wheel.
I recomend that it's melted down and recycled.
Hey - I like that thing for mario kart! I would melt down the plastic bow gun thing instead.
I have some nice Grado SR-60 earphones but not wireless. Here's a general consumer website I check sometimes. Seems to be suggesting Sennheiser or Pioneer.
I'm looking to get a good pair of 5.1 / 7.1 wireless headphones for watching TV/ Gaming. Any good testimonials? I have some el cheapo Sony ones, that work great, but they get a bit warm (and really are the bare-bones in terms fo sound quality).
