I saw Episode 1 tonight, yep I am doing it in that order. Do you know how painful it is to not watch the orginals, its killing me, but I want to build up to those movies. Episode 1 is a mess, it feels like its made for a 5 year old and written by a 5 year old. It makes for a good kids movie but the tone doesn't match the originals at all. Darth Maul, Qui-Gon and Duel of the Fates save the movie though. That final battle is still awesome to watch today. The movie was gorgeous but it was the sound that really stood out, wow!
I cant wait for Episode 3 cause that movie will be a feast for the eyes. Plus its one step closer to the holy trilogy. It is so very apparent though how different this prequel trilogy feels. I dont know if it was intentional, they just don't match.

BTW the originals were glorious in HD. The changes suck, especially Vader but at this point I am kind of numb to all of them. It doesn't change the fact that the movies are masterpieces and they have never looked or sounded better.
I hope they add another CGI sing & dance number.

I bought the originals on VHS, then the special editions on VHS, then the DVDs. I refuse to buy the Blurays because 4 years from now they will release the 3D Blurays then 4 years from now a super high resolution version. Then 4 years after that the holographic versions etc.
