i have heard nothing but positive on the game.

PC - not sure if my rig will hang with it. PS4 apparetnly has a 47 GB patch!!

Anyone playong on XB1? patch infos?

The game itself is a 40ish gig install, so that's probably what you're downloading on the PS4...the actual game.

The podcast I was listening to said that you have the 40 gig install, and THEN then 47 gig patch, which for the dude who was talking who was buying it digitally on PS4 was a complete joke.

I'll look around. I really want to get it for ... fuck I shoudl just get it on PC, maybe a physical copy. It's Doom after all.

I finally got into this more yesterday and am really enjoying it.

Its nothing like DOOM 3 at all so far. Reminds me more of a mix between old DOOM, Bulletstorm, and for some reason Metroid Prime because of the map system and the desolate atmosphere. Really like the whole interface, the menu's are really well done and flashy. The upgrade system is awesome and adds some depth to the combat, and the kill system being rewarded with health and ammo for brutality is great.

Having a hard time figuring out some of the lowball reviews I've seen. Maybe I just don't need a miracle to be impressed. Or an under the table payoff.

Yup its excellent. I cant believe its not closer to a 90 in metacritic. Did reviewers get upset they didnt get early copies or something.

I played just past the opening title last night. If it reflects the game it is a stunning accomplishment.
