Really? I don't know. I guess it's all preference. Overkill feels more grind-house and irrelevant with no point but gore, killing, and swearing (like Tarentino films). But it still looks fun and I will check it out since it's only $20 now.

Dead Space and the Resident Evil Chronicles games fit more my taste because they have stories and cinematic storytelling with the shooting, which I like in a rail shooter.

Resident Evil's cinematic equivilants are what Overkill is making fun of. Nyaa

Comedy is why Overkill is good, the title sums up what it acheives. It's just hilarious fun and sensory overload.
