I downloaded NyxQuest this afternoon. So far, I've played about an hour of it, but I'm more impressed by it than NSMB Wii. It's too early to say if it'll be my GOTY or not, but it's definitely in the running.

I just finished NyxQuest, and it is absolutely awesome! The controls, graphics, music, level design and fantastic puzzles really put this game on top. It's a very addictive game that has a near-perfect difficulty; it's challenging but never frustrating. I beat it in 4 hours and 18 minutes, which isn't bad at all, but I wish it were 2-3 times longer! Granted, I still need to find the last 10 hidden relics (there are 20 in the game), so I could easily put in a couple more hours. Also, according to Gamefaqs, you unlock a secret level once you've found all 20 relics, so there's plenty more fun to be had. I know I'll replay NyxQuest several more times from beginning to end; it's that fun!
It's still too early to say for sure that NyxQuest will be my GOTY since I still have A Boy and His Blob to play, but NyxQuest currently has my vote!
I'll hold off updating yours until I get your final verdict.

Robio's right, A Boy and His Blob is a good game, but it won't dethrone NyxQuest as my GOTY.

Dragon Age is really the only choice for me. I put 120 hours into this game, with just one of the characters, and never got bored of playing like most games that last that long.

It was called Icarian, but they had to change it because of legal reasons.

BTW I just finished Modern Warfare 2. For some reason this game just did not excite me like COD4 did. The campaign kind of let me down. I thought COD4's campaign was better in every way.
MW2 feels like a bunch of set pieces thrown together for the hell of it.

Nice timing, my review for MW2 is now up. In it I disagree with the above statement but honestly it can go either way. I think the level of quality of the campaign of both games are very very close.

To me the levels and the way COD4 was set up was just much more memorable, believeable, and flowed better than MW2.
Stuff like the sniper mission, the helicopter nighttime bombing mission, and even the start of COD4 are unmatched. MW2 feels like they tried to cram too much in a very short game and its all over the place. Feels even more on-rails for some reason, and they went way over the top with crazyness and shock value.
Of course, after playing the Crysis series I'm very critical of any shooters now anyway because that game sets the bar extremely high, so maybe that's a part of it too.

Unless NSMB does something insane with the last two worlds, it's the worst Mario platformer to date.
