I'm curently waiting for price drops on Matt Hazard, Afro Samurai and Arkham. I have my own little rules about what is, or is not, and aceptable price drop. These days I wait for the price drop on almost everything other than Nintendo stuff (which will never drop), or my faves like NMH, Yakuza, Uncharted or any NIS game.Oh yeah I saw Arkham Asylum 360 for £43! WTF! Is this like a premium priced game? The used version was £37.99. Holy crap.
The probably have not kept up with production on Arkham. I wonder how many discs they threw out there on the initial run? It's got to be tough to figure out (demand) when you are selling a multi-plat game.
With a batman game you have to assume healthy sales right? I think its over 2 million now. There shouldn't be a shortage.
^If I were a pessimist working at EIDOS here is what I would have been saying before the launch:
#1 Batman games have traditionally sucked.
#2 We have a studio working on it that no one has heard of (though they did make the AWESOME Urban Chaos Riot Response).
#3 We have no film out right now to build buzz
#4 The critics are probably going to (Kane and ) lynch us since our embargo extortion was made public.
#5 None of this matters since Square bought us and I'll be out of a job next week anyway.
Again, that's a pretty pessimistic perspective, but I don't think they could have fathomed the level of commercial success the game has seen.

Yeah I don't think they actually sales for Batman AA would be that good. I mean I'm sure they felt they had a quality game and were hoping it would pull in decent sales just not as good as it did. I guess the Walmart sale was just temporary as it's selling at normal prices now. They had stacks of the game here now they have less then 10 last time I checked. I'm glad I picked it up when I did because $39 Canadian was an insane deal for this game. I sure hope some other games do this.
Besides any sports game, I can't make myself by any type of game like Advance Wars. They may be good, but I'm afraid I'll be bored out of my mind. I'll rent COD games, but can never fork over money for them or any FPS that have to deal with war.
