So many titles.
So I saw Jupiter Ascending, it is a bunch too much. This is off the wall sci-fi, within the first 20 minutes you will see blue people, lizard men, wolf men, classic greys, shooting lazers, riding hoover boots, hover bikes, carrying Ratchet and Clank weapons. It is just nuts. It is quite epic with some interesting world building but whatever makes stuff like Star Wars and Star Trek compelling is missing here. And it is not cause there is bad acting or the script is a joke, it just never nails the emotional connection. If you dont care for wild sci-fi action you will end up checking out of this film mentally early on, I love that stuff and still found it hard to care about what is going on in the screen.
It also never really finds what kind of movie it whats to be thematically. There are times it is presenting the world seriously and then moments where it is sort of tongue and cheek like say Fifth Element but it never commits to that. The action is the highlight, it is done by the visual masters the Wachowski’s but again there was missing a connection there. Most of the time it was just a barrage of lights and random shit to care much for what is happening on screen.
Go see it only if you really like crazy sci-fi, if not next week should give us a fantastic action movie in Kingsman.

Yeah it was allright, China box office takings means that a sequel is underway.
I'm watching Pompei, what a crappy film. The casting is HORRIBLE, some of them can barely act.
Kiefer Sutherland puts in a careers worst performance faking a terrible English/American - posh - accent. The volcano takes over an hour to pop and the movie before that is a lame Gladiator rip.

I saw Superman/Batman: Public Enemies it was good I liked some of the humorous moments. Next I plan to watch the follow up Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

Public Enemies was good, a slugfest. Apocalypse is sadly, boring.

I just saw Kingsman, what a fucking insane movie!!! The action is amazing, the movie is funny, cool, and just bananas at times. They turned Colin Firth into a genuine action super star, Colin Firth?! He is just incredible and there isn’t his action scene in a church that wiill make you lose your shit!
The movie tries to be like one of the older James bond movies with the over the top spy plots but at the same time doesn’t fall into genre conventions and is far crazier than those movies were. The movie maybe too much for some but I loved the whole ride.
So far it is the best movie of what will be a legendary movie year.
