Oh God, Rocky V!  What an abomination.  I'm glad Rocky VI came to make a much better ending to the series.

History tidbit : I bought the Rocky soundtrack and played the hell out of it.  Then one day, years ago, I started teaching this little boy who was adopted by his grandmother.  His parents were druggies and she kind of struggled to raise him and his younger brother.  This boy was a humongous Rocky fan.  All I heard was " Mr. B, I'm drawing Rocky, my hero."  Or some fact like " Did you know Rocky fought in Russia."

The family came to an open house and his grandmother gushed about how that little boy loved coming to class and draw Rocky.  I told them to hold on a second while I rushed to my car, pulled out that cd and handed it to him.  They were so happy to have that.  I can only imagine him playing the Rocky theme over and over like I used to do in my car.

I love Rocky 4, Rocky 3 not so much, 5 was shit and the new one, 6 was shit too although better than 5.

The soundtrack to the movies is so motivational when excercising I have pushed myself to hyperventilation on more than one occasion. In the past.

No love for Rocky VI?  It was such a great bookend to the series with the most realistic fight of the whole series.

Wasn't it a stalemate in the end? I didn't like the new Rambo either. Both films seemed a little pointless.

No he lost, like the first movie. It all went full circle. Rocky 6 is fantastic, it became a drama again, not a crazy superhero boxing movie.

Rocky 6 was a great film. Same with Rambo 4, which is my 2nd favorite film in that franchise right behind First Blood.

I think that was my problem with the film then, I expect Rocky to win, otherwise it feels like the movie is pointless. I could understand the first movie and all though. I liked with Rocky 4 they did the whole OTT ridiculousness.

DC is actively trying to create a Supergirl TV Series

Michael Green is a producer on TV shows including Gotham, American Gods, Smallville, and Heroes, writer on Smallville, Heroes, Gotham, and films such as Green Lantern and the upcoming Flash.

So, you know, he has form.

He also worked with Mike Johnson on the New 52 reboot of Supergirl.

Well, we understand Green is now taking that a little further.

Bleeding Cool has been reliably informed by a comics/Hollywood contact that DC Comics is currently actively pitching Supergirl as a TV series, and Green is attached as Writer/Producer.

Urm, I guess it could work if it involved the other DC universe characters. But I think it would be like the uncostumed Smallville stuff i.e blond girl in leather jacket and blue hoodie or something.

Update to the Supergirl series news

The project is expected to be taken out in a couple of weeks and pitched to the major networks the way WBTV and DC did with their high profile Batman prequel Gotham, which landed at Fox with a big commitment. The Supergirl series had been in the works at WBTV for some time with Berlanti and Adler. Contrary to a report that was picked up by a number of outlets, Michael Green has had no involvement in the project.

Emmett Scanlan has been cast as Jim Corrigan aka The Spectre on Constantine

The New Orleans homicide detective will be played by Irish actor Emmett Scanlan, who is known to U.K. audiences for his roles on The BBC’s Atlantis and The Fall, and recently received some global viewership for a minor riot-guard role in Guardians of the Galaxy.
