Edit; gate is open. Trying via mobile hotspot on my phone
Ok,gg to answer a few questions.
Skull door was in my nook store on the first day.
I have cherries, and a peach and apple trees growing. No oranges or pears.
The bed I think is an imperial bed. I'll double check.
gamingeek said:That same guy had been asking me again "can you open your gate" endlessly through the messaging system. Argh. When I asked him to open his Gate he said that his brother wouldn't let him. So I lied and said I was at someone else's Island.
I de-best friended him and he IMMEDIATELY sent me a best friend request.

Post me a bed, I will send you the bells.
My town fruit is oranges. I have coconuts fully grown.
I have the other fruit but they haven't grown into full trees yet.
I need Pears.
gemini_red said:Thanks for having me in your town, GG. Love the things you are doing there. Sorry to leave abruptly, battery was about dead, and where I have my dock my phone reception is pretty bad, so I was worried about a disconnect. Thanks for the oranges too! That just leaves the elusive pears for me to find.
Great to see you. It also made me realise how big the map is for one person to develop. I have pretty much left anything outside the river undeveloped.
I have:
- A Tanuki entrance gate
- Stonehenge grove
- Sacred Bamboo grove
- Campsite outside my home
That's about it
One thing that annoys me about the online play is that I cannot pick up outside furniture or items to give to people as gifts. Same for bamboo buds.
OMG people are making Animal Crossing Anime character outfits
Including Fullmetal Alchemist we can find them online and download the QR codes.
Quick tip for communication, use the Switch online app on your phone.
Once you click Animal Crossing it will immediately ask if you want to voicechat. If you don't (like me) you can select the text option. And then if your phone has voice cognition set up you can just speak and click to send the text of that.
"This might not seem like a big deal, until your first resident happens to be your kid, who will grow tired of it after a month or two," one Eurogamer reader explained to me in an email. "[It seems like the] only workaround is to restart your whole island." -Supreme

Yeah, I wrote some things about how other family members might react, but they opted to leave those bits out.
