Do you valued  hard mode that remixes a few items and changes the enemy placement? If so you can get double the time out of it. I am already on my third run, put close to thirty hours into it. But I do that with most RE games, I like to master them.

And for you, you're getting your money's worth. I enjoyed previous titles....ok I skipped 5 and 6, but I enjoyed them up to 4.  I went through some effort to extend the replay ability of those games, but now I've become very picky. Basically I know what I like and stick to those types of games.  If it has a long campaign or a campaign I would enjoy multiple times, I'll pay full price. If I have doubts, I'll wait for a sale.

I have doubts, so that tells me that 60 bucks is too much. 20-30? There i will bite.

Awesome boss fight...I trhink I'm close to the end.

This is definitely the most HORROR game in the series since 2002, hands down. RE4 was a great game but the horror element took a step back. This is the first one since RE Zero to be an actual true horror game. Even the Revelations games don't feel like true horror games to me. So for anyone who's beebn wanting to see this happen, well, it happened.

The controls to me feel like Zombie U. Not a bad thing....just in how close up the camera feels from the perspective of the weapon you're holding. It can give the game a very eerie, claustrophobic feel.

It's definitely a better game than Zombie U....just the controls feel similar. Very well paced game too...it's designed almost just like the old games as far as progressing through the environments goes. Always something new coming up. It's kind of hilarious that they were struggling for so long trying to figure out a direction for this series, and in the end they end up just completely ripping off Konami who doesn't give a shit anymore and picking clean the dead corpse of Silent Hills like vultures on a dead coyote.

Better. Great bosses. Great locations. And the scavenge for items and space feels better as it's the classic RE formula.

That's a minus in my book. I never liked that aspect of the game.

I finished this last night....great game, best game since RE4 easily. Minus the 1st-person camera, this game is old school RE for sure. The camera does make it scarier than it would have been in 3rd-person...just the fact that you can't see around the character and actually have to turn around to see anything behind you. That's something a 3rd-person camera kind of removes. I guess you could say the 1st-person view makes it more VR-ish.

Still have no idea what happened with the story at the end...maybe Dvader can PM me and fill me in because I don't think that was who they said it was.

But yeah, I totally hope they continue in this direction. I've had enough action games in the series and it's awesome to have real horror back.

This game has me excited for Remake 2. This engine and the gameplay is perfect for Resident Evil 2....I just hope they give you the option to play the game in either 1st or 3rd-person with the fixed camera angles. That would be amazing. Add to the replay value too.

Does this game have an online mode?  Any type of co-op?

I fully intend to play this game.

With the lights on.

In a room full of people.

I loved the old games but the RE7 demo was just a bit too freaky for me. Guess I've outgrown that kind of thing?

When you play the full game I found it's not as freaky as the demo was...maybe because everything is in context I guess. It's still scary, but you know what to expect so it's not so unnerving.

This game is amazing, totally coming out of left field after RE6 left such a sour taste with its stale, paint by numbers tps gameplay.  This one has the tension that im looking for in a RE game.  The combat is still a little weird but I can overlook it with all the other awesome things this game has going for it.  I love, love, love that’s the house has that old RE mansion feel.

The sound effects in this game are so good.  I seriously thought someone was walking into my house.

I just finished this, really good game, not quite great.  The last quarter of the game changes so much and the quality seems to drop.  I’ve read Vader’s review and am in complete agreement.  This game is near perfect at the house location, then the setting changes and it becomes all about action. It’s like an exec at Capcom told the devs they needed more action so they shoehorned the last part to satisfy them.  It’s probably my third favorite RE behind RE4 and RE2.  I’m just (slightly)disappointed at the end because we lost the tension and creepiness that brought back the old school Resident Evil feel for me.
