I've read the spoiler thread and ...(not a spoiler). There's talk that there may not be closure like a lot of things may be left upon the air like MGS2. I certainly hope not.

Could be Kojima's last "Fuck You" to Konami. He may have just left the story unfinished; maybe even the game.

Metal Gear Solid was a different story for me.  I never owned a PS, but my sister did, convinced to by her then boyfriend.  I knew I wanted to play MGS since I loved the original so much.  It would be a while before I even bothered to play because I was too busy playing another masterpiece, Zelda OoT.  When I did play it, it was amazing, not my goty, but close. It a shame it was released so close to Zelda. I loved Psycho Mantis, who didn't? And the voice acting was phenomenal.  Finally, a game with good voice acting.

To me I had a PS1 but I completely ignored it after I got an N64 a year after I got the PS1.

I didn't play MGS until 2008 when I got the essentials collection but I never finished it I got to Sniper Wolf.

I was put off by how poorly it had aged and I really was hoping for an HD remake. I might have been more easy on it but since I never played it when it was new it seemed outdated.

No I did want to play it but I didn't get a GCN until 2004 and I couldn't really find it cheap enough.
