I'm a bit mixed on the idea. I see the efficiency side of things, being able to go directly to either page from anywhere else. On the other hand, I've been quite pleased with the simplification of the navigation. We had dropdowns before, and it was too much. This wouldn't be overwhelming, but it would then stand out as the only menu item that acted with that behaviour.
I'll take a look at it on my end, so I'll have to see whether I feel it's appropriate to implement. Another angle is it may become optional as an opt-in.

Yup, I was thinkingt hat you oculd still click on forum and it'd take you two the page with all 3 sub forums as a seciton.
That or a toggle on settings as you said.

When an unpopular post is voted down enough, like minus 3, instead of it becoming invisible, this picture is inserted next to or behind with a lowered opacity. To indicate that the users of the site want you to shut it. It's funny.

First and foremost is the custom skin feature. It will be made more user-friendly in time, but still, even now you can fully customize your skin, including font faces and sizes. It even includes saving different new ones. Definitely worth a look.
Lots of little updates across the site in terms of usability and presentation. Error messages are now made more consistent, and some more clear. Delete buttons are differentiated, and the user profile pages have been given a face-lift.
