Ohh, that's excellent.
One thing I saw, for your consideraton, on the playeronepodcast.com forums they have a panel on the side which is basically a way to submit a quick comment on any topic. It's for those short non-sequitur comments that may be out of place in any particular thread (or not worth starting a thread over).
Where the users spend their most time is in the ggweekly, and the way we are laid out it really wouldn't work on that page (or be much use in our forums). Maybe we could put it on the front page -- but it might not work there either. Anyway, check it out, I thought it was neat, may not be for us.

Yeah that's what I was describing.
It is self serving, I know, but I was thinking that perhaps if you post the shownotes in the podcast page you could get awarded some site exp points. As you know, editing the cast is a multi-hour undertaking, and even if not for me, if someone else edited the cast they deserve some points.
I cannot figure a way for the actual casters to get points.

Anything like that is a manual process. Primarily, as I think I've mentioned once before, is that regarding the podcast it's not necessarily something accessible to everyone to do. I like to keep it separate. Plus I honestly don't think the people around here are overly concerned about the points thing. This would be more fitting to a badge system of some sort.
We can chop this one up to consideration. He's right, the biggest chore for the podcast, even on the site, is the editing. You already have the links, so make it easier and send make them available.
I've forgotten myself to send my notes in past weeks, so I've got to be more aware as well, but just take the minute or two to do it.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI did not explain myself properly, sorry.
I meant that if you post to this page:
http://www.thevgpress.com/pressroom
then you get points, just as you would for posting a review or blog.
Only people who edit the show post to that page... Does that make sense?

Yeah, sorry for the mis-understanding, I was putting the solution before the problem. I don't mind if the participants send their notes or not. The links help, but it's minor compared to the other parts of editing.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileMore ideas to file away or roundfile. In GGWeekly how about a mouseover comment window that identifies the user that submitted the story? This window could also contain how many times the story had been clicked on perhaps?
Just finished overhauling the backend for accessing the database for the entire site. All backslash issues should be gone, and since I was editing basically every file and testing every function on the site, I took care of quite a few bugs along the way as well.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileHey, just as a point of curiosity, do the click-throughs from the front page get captured in your stats? (I would think that is where most people click these days, the front page is so useful for what it happening).
And also, I guess there is no way of knowing how many of our bit.le twitter links get followed huh? (More for just knowing, rather than recording). And did you add stubble to your avatar? Will your avatar be updated daily to reflect your increasing dishevelled state?

Front page didn't always, but it does now. There's no distinction between that and the GG Weekly page though.
And my hair's too dark to look completely clean shaven.

Okay, cool.
Will be adding the option to toggle it in user account settings later on.
